B A R C Big Night Out

The B A R C Big Night Out takes place this Saturday Evening. This will presummably follow the pattern of stages we are all conversant with.
1/ Uncomfortable dressed in formal clothing.
2/ relaxed after a few drinks.
3/ Gluttony while dinner is served.
4/ Even more relaxed after even more drinks.
5/ drunken ribaldness.
6/ Total Collapse.
Follwed by the Morning After the Night Before.
When the whispererd greeting of Good Morning is met by a wince and a request to keep the noise down.

I am so jelous that I won't be there, But to all that go,Enjoy and have a couple of drinks for me!!!

It's the carriages at *o'clock that always gets me. I always imagine a stagecoach coming to collect me not that it's a formal way of teling you what time the do finishes.

The funniest moment at the North West one was when everybody was lolling about the hotel lounge at 10.55 am (the following day) and they were told that their rooms had to be cleared by 11.00 am - I've never seen people move so fast.

To those who are going, have a great time.

I'm more than happy to accept drinking glasses for all those NOT present on the evening!!!!!!

The words "Hard Luck" and "Never Mind" do enter my head!!!! Hee Hee

Jackie and I will be there, along with a number of the marshals.

I think in future years if you've done enough meetings, then grab your free ticket. The more marshals that are present, the more the club will respect us!!!!!!

Cheers all!!!!

The bit I always enjoy looking for at these type of events are the wives/partners...

at the start of the evening everybody is mixed up on their best behavour.
BUT as the beer starts to flow all the marshalls seem to be drawn together, and by 9 oclock all the marshalls are very drunk and the partners are all sitting wondering why they ever let you out of the house to go to the circuits, and defitinly thinking that marshalls are a bad influence.

A man after my own heart.

It was a very entertaining night, good to put a face to a couple of names too.

Those conversant with The Simpsons will have recognised "Dancing Homer" in the Orange bow tie on the dance floor. So I'm told. I still maintain I'm a lovely mover.

;-)

A great night (my first). 02:15 came around really quickly. The only problem I had was trying to squeeze the helium balloons Melanie and others had nicked into the boot of the car.....
