SPM bought one and will race TUSCC.

Of the two ARX that was going to a WEC team(Krohn changed is mind and bought a Ligier)and the other team is still a secret.
The first part just broke with ESM stating they are splitting their cars at Cota.
They are getting their feet wet before they go WEC full time next year.

Please don't cry when it happens!

1)At the moment the plan is one in TUSCC and one in WEC next year.

2)If they have to much fun at WEC Cota then it will be two in WEC next year because with having two owner drivers they will have a better chance to win!
(longer races and equal cars)

3)A P2 can't win the Championship in TUSCC or have a chance win more than a very few races.

I'm not crying. If it happens, it happens. I see that you cannot produce where they have stated any of this, so... .

Just giving you an insider warning but I guess your one of those people who just wants a shotgun wedding!

ESM has been warning IMSA all season long that they will leave.ESM really doesn't want to race outside of America but because of BOP and being a Pro-Driver series they will have to to go to WEC to be able to compete.

So what does ESM want from TUSC? More reliable engines?

ESM has been sucking on their own you know.

They took pole and ended up 3rd or 4th in what, 2 laps at Indy? You can set fastest laps but cant make a pass because youre down 100hp.

It looks like we can turn the clock back to 2007 when Acura took on Prototype racing to draw attention to the fact of them going Tier 1.(cancelled Dec 2008)

Decision are being made now by AHM/HNA to sponsor semi works teams and that's why a few Indy teams are jumping on to the ARX-04b bandwagon.
(the A stands for Acura)

Bergman now runs Acura and he believes in racing on Sunday and selling on Monday. And Acura really needs to improve it's image.

The problem is that the teams want to win and to do that they must race WEC but Honda wants most of them to race TUSCC.(If NASCAR wants the 4-5 ARX-04b in their series next year they better fix the BOP)

At the moment the only team to say they will race TUSCC next year is SPM.
ESM,Andretti and RLL are looking into WEC.

Also there are teams waiting for the full on factory NSX GTE/GT3 program in 2016/17.(need rule changes to allow hybrid).

Not even slightly. For a start, Sharp is a Platinum rating as a result of his Indycar experience so needs to race a alongside an 'am' in a Pro-Am class. Secondly, there is some suggestion that the driver rankings will be dropped from WEC P2 next year, which would invalidate that completely. I would agree with you in the case of Ed Brown, who would be ideally suited to a Pro-Am class, but he's the one of the two who's been on a top step of a podium this year!

A P2 can win the championship in TUSC and go for overall race wins. One could suggest that if Oak hadn't been involved in the accident at Laguna they'd be right in the hunt near the top of the standings.

There is so much dis-information, (not mis-information), in this thread that it is mind boggling.

Conjecture, rumor and fantasy meet gullible.

It makes no sense for Patron to want to race in an international series full time, where you cannot buy their product in most of the countries on the schedule, and there is no U.S. tv coverage. Are they even allowed to have their name on the car at Le Mans?

That is the major reason why they didn't do WEC this year and did TUSCC!

But after this year you ask yourself is it worth it to race TUSCC?

I think if Brown/Sharp still drives the ARX-04B next year, they will be in WEC but if they doesn't then both cars will be in TUSCC with all pro drivers..

I would like to see them both move down to a GTD.

I'll believe ESM when they quit the whinging and actually make a decision. If there was any teeth to the threats to leave they'd already be gone. But they have turned me from a fan to a guy who couldn't care any less if they stayed or left now. The ESM visor hasn't left the desk this season, but the BoSox hat sticks around no matter how bad my guys are looking this season.

This post does not make any sense if you know anything about ESM and Patron. If they do anything next year, I would guess they run some ELMS races since the top class will still be Pro/Am.

Sorry they are not even dreaming about ELMS.

But they are dreaming about two WEC races in America!

Only Indy and Montreal fill ACO/FIAs unnecessary lust for Grade 1 (also Miller has European garages) and even them ain't throwing cash for having the series, unlike Bahrain
