That's how I see it, if Renault wins the tander for GP3 engine badges what will be a point in keeping, strugling for entries, championship called Formula Renault 3.5. With GP3 inception they'll struggle even more, bear in mind there is not lot more testing days scheduled for FR3.5 either (there won't be many for GP3 for cost reasons), so if good gp3 telly package, FR3.5 existance makes no sense to me.

GP3 Series organisers have announced some details:
link Chassis: Dallara Engine: 2 litre Renault turbo, 280bhp (developed by Renault F1) Tyres: Pirelli So italiaracing was wrong about the 400-450bhp, which never made sense (not that another F3/F.Master-level series makes much sense either...) |

I'm afraid that it will be very difficult for any other championship that is not GP2, GP3, F2 and FBMW...apart from Euro F3. And this is no good...

Having in mind how Formula BMW costs rocketed up since it become "Europe", it is may be not so clear about GP3. If FM somehow manages to cut its' costs, it may well survive, considering it has the best media coverage of all championships on this level.
