I do feel for Prema a little this season. Last year they had two proven race winners in Alvaro Barba and Miguel Molina, whereas this year they have two rookies who seem to be struggling to come to terms with the car. I was hoping that Edoardo Piscopo would get one of the seats, but money talks I suppose. |

Two years ago Prema ran Ben Hanley to second in the championship behind Alvaro Parente, yet he now has no budget. Money does indeed talk!

James Walker takes the win from Baguette and Molina, in the Superpole race.
Baguette leading, left his pit stop late and came out behind Walker who pulled away for an excellent first victory in F3.5 Turvey had a great charge late on to pass Alguersuari, and then Martinez for 5th on the final corner. |

It isn't Walker's first victory in WSR. But good on him, he's had a fairly bad start to the season with 2 DNF's despite all his testing pace. He needs to do it more consistently from now on, and he has the speed and the team to do it.

Sod it, forgot this was on, got all carried away with all things nice and noisy and shiny at Silverstone!!
How did Hegewald get on, as he was doing a one off and by looks of it did pretty well in practice? Anyone able to post some results from the 2 races please? |

Another solid run from Sten Pentus who went from 20th to 11th in Race 4. Bertrand Baguette also put in two impressive drives this weekend, especially in Race 3 when he went from 8th on the grid to finish 2nd.

A lot of Hartleys problems probably stem from the fact he was thrown in the car at the last minute without any WSR 3.5 experience. Still he's performing below the expectations that I had for him.

Has Brendon a problem similar that had Webber during his Benetton F1 tester-F3000 title contender role???

I agree with Ssom - The first time Hartley drove the Tech 1 machine was in Friday practice at Barcelona, so he's had very little track time so far this year (and no pre-season testing). Monaco is supposed to be his final event for the team anyway because he then has his F3 Euroseries campaign with Carlin to contend with.
Martinez has definitely been the revelation of the season so far IMO. OK, he's used the reverse-grid for two of his three wins, but even so he's demonstrated great pace and racecraft (especially in the tricky second race in Barcelona) and fully deserves his points lead. I don't know if he's just a Spa specialist, but the pace of Daniil Move at the weekend caught my eye as well. Perhaps it's the Roly Vincini influence that has suddenly turned his fortunes around after his lacklustre past displays with Interwetten.com and KTR? Oliver Turvey continues to impress me as well, and even though he and Alguersuari are level on points, I think Oliver has generally been the faster of the two during the first two events. Hopefully it won't be long before he is challenging for a podium place and when Silverstone comes around in July a win may even be on the cards? |

turvey and alguersuari were pretty evenly matched in bf3 too, so it's interesting to see they've carried that on into wsr.

Where can I find the full FR 3.5 calendar? I noticed the WSR calendar doesn't include Monaco and Portimao.

Hungary, Hungaroring f328 Jun. Germany, Norisring In Barcelona he did quite well, but i expected more from him at Spa. |
