I'm going on the saturday and sunday, just general admission as I want to move about and (hopefully!) get some good photos. Where is best to go to snap from? Can you get inside druids still?

Is it worth wandering out on the GP loop to Hawthorn or Westfield area?

Yep all supports use the GP loop as well.

To be honest, some of the suppport classes give better racing on the "Indy" circuit, the "GP" circuit can be just too long and if there's much of a difference between power or driver ability they tend to spread out too easily.

I shall be there but the weather isn't looking good on the forecast.
It will be a great shame if it continues to rain as it is at the moment, it makes it very muddy for the spectators and could ruin what should be a top meeting. At least I can go home each night as its only up the road for me at the moment.

You can add Chris van der Drift as rookie driver for team NZL, Khalil Beshir as driver for Lebanon and Mohamed Fairuz Fauzy as driver for team Malaysia.

I'm up for the three days, the weather at least looks warm, with showers 17 C Fri, dry 19 C on Sat and 20 C with light showers on Sun, should make things interesting.

I've been given a yellow car park pass, does anybody know where that would be, I can't see anything on the motorsportvision web site ?

Thanks for the updates Richard. NZL nominating a rookie driver, that has to be a good sign, and what a great opportunity for the driver, in a top car.

I am pleased to see Beshir in the Lebanon car for this round, I suspect that Lebanon might be one of the teams dropping out (only a guess), and getting the drive again would be just reward for all of Beschir's patience while the team has been chopping and changing with other drivers.

Just follow the signs as you approach the circuit. I think it's the big car park behind the Kentagon but not sure.

Lebanon is there to stay. They have confirmed so during the Regent Street event last sunday to a friend of mine.

And, boom-chicka Louis, van der Drift with fastest lap for NZ this morning, in both rookie sessions. Can't get them any closer at the top.
