Jacques' offers

I realize that his detractors have beaten Jacques to death this season, and are praying for his exit, but I thought I would mention that during the TSN broadcast of Indy, Gerald Donaldson stated that there were now actually several offers on the table for Jacques, and that his outlook was much more positive lately. Now Gerald is usually quite reliable, and surely wouldn't say something like this if it were not true, particularly on Canadian TV.

Any guesses on who might have offered what to JV?

I'd be surprised if Jaguar hired JV, after months of rumours and statements about killing costs for next year!
If Justin is too expensive (and he actually runs for free, being financed by his shareholders), how about Jacques?

I'd say his most attractive offer at the moment would involve a pretty young blonde on his boat in Monaco harbour - and that's about as close as he'll get to F1 in 04 (although I'd like to see him in Ralf's Williams against JPM, but the odds are way long).

Did he say that they were F1 offers or just Offers in general? I'd be suprised if there were many F1 teams about that would pay JV to drive for them.

Other than F1, Craig Pollock co-owns a champcar team doesn't he? If F1 doesn't happen I'm sure he'll go stateside.

Seriously though, the spirit of this thread is obviously a positive one, so can we leave the driver bashing out of it (god knows we have enough of those threads at the moment).

Poor JV i doubt there are any seats available. JAG and JORDON are looking for pay drivers Who else is there? not a fan but Seriously his form has been reasonable in the past few GP's.

The rumour about Montoya being at McLaren next year certainly isn't going away (Alan Henry comment's on it in Autocar again this week) so the William's seat is not absolutely out of the question yet.

If JPM goes to McLaren, DC will go to Williams

I don't think DC would go back to Williams, he was quite keen in late 95 to leave them, for some reason (can't remember now).

Wasn't his last drive in the Williams, sticking the car into the pit wall?

That could well tie in to the rumor that Pollock has made a bid for Jordan. God knows he likes spending other people's money and he was certainly instrumental in helping JV get his hands on a pile of it. Let's face it, at this point buying his own team may well be his only opportunity to stay in F-1.
I, for one, would like to see him with a ride in a good car if only to see if he still 'has it' before he fades away into the sunset.
I sometimes think the F-1 community feeds on rumors the way leeches feed on the blood of their host.

Craig Pollock has a WRC team and a V8 supercar team I don't think there is any vacancies on the WRC team with Richard Burns moving there. He can't start at the top. We may see see him in the Prodrive ford team team now that they are going to China next year?

Who has openings? Teams wanting pay drivers might be interested because JV can probably bring money in sponsorship.
