Good times by Porsche. Very interesting how easily the can lap with a so good pace. But I think no one of the GT2 leading group has yet started to push seriously. They're just heating the cars!

Corvette's are going about business nicely. They should be strong come race day. This will be one hell of a GTE battle! Could be the best we have seen in years as long as all the teams keep it together. No loose wheel nuts/flat tires etc... I can already see the huge drafting train down the Mulsanne with the vipers, vettes, astons, porsches, ferraris!

Ideal timings has the Porsche at a 3:55.8. Aston at a 3:55.2 and Ferrari at a 3:55.5. Does anyone think the Corvette's could do better? Perhaps. Thursday will be interesting if it stays dry. Hopefully the Vette's Vipers won't keep us guessing for long.

Porsche, Aston and Ferrari are very close. I think they'll have a great battle. Anyway, I hope to see Vettes in the field! Laptimes yesterday were not at the same pace of the three rivals, and this make me worry. About Viper, I don't think it'll be capable to face its opponents since its first appearence in la Sarthe. But it's nice to have it on the battlefield! I hope to see a great battle, this year. Till the last lap of the race.

They came out of nowhere at Sebring. It was impressive watching them close the gap and taking positions. Hopefully its the same here.

Unfortunately I will not be able to watch it nor follow it. I am off to the bush for the next 4 days. (I'm still not sure whether that is a good or a bad thing)

You will miss Porsche victory to celebrate 911 50 years! I'm sorry for this, but I'll drink for you, mate!

I get back on Tuesday and hope to catch up on all that went on. I sincerely hope that you are correct Dario, as it would make a wonderful birthday present for me.

Whatever happens, it'll be close throughout the race and Im really looking forward to it, even more so then the P1 battle. I would love to see the pack battles that we've seen thus far in the ALMS this year, brilliant stuff |

Im sure we will see Porsche vs Ferrari at Lemans this year but that may be overshadowed by Aston Martin Brigade...I can't help but wonder where Corvette will end in all of this. It would just be glaring oversight to count them out for victory.

Guys - I'm setting off in about 10 minute (6:30 here) but I just wanted to check in before I go.
Oh Look! Astons on pole. What a surprise! Gee, BoP is really making things sooo unpredictable. Have a good race guys! See you on Tuesday. |

I'm sure Porsche will be in the battle for the 1st place. The car is fast, has been tested to resist more than 24 hours, at the same way of all previous 911s. Crews are probably the best in the field, and team has a long experience. I don't think reliability will be a huge trouble for Porsche, while I see Corvettes out of the games, together with Vipers.
The battle will be Aston-Porsche-Ferrari, and Porsche has its chances to win, at the same way of the other two opponents. I trust in Porsche, I think it may win. |

Porsche is the second best GTE manufacture in qualifying, isn't it? 3rd in PRO and 2nd(#88 even skips Q2) in AM is not bad.
Anyway I would expect a 997 AM win and earn the 99th LM24 class win for Porsche. And if #77 & one of 991s can both end up podiums, hopefully Dempsey will start a 991 WEC AM full season project next year. Recently Dempsey is doing a Lemans-promoting film for Porsche. http://www.porsche.com/international...db4123&lang=en and here comes Proton's chatroom www.race.ag |
