... and to put the thread back on-topic, last week there was F.BMW testing at both Valencia and Barcelona. Has anyone got any times or at least some info about who tested with which team?

there was some testing on FR2.0 and Formula3 but did not hear anything about F BMW, seems like a short time for the cars to come back from Mexico...

Didn't notice any F BMWs at Valencia - there were half a dozen or so at Barcelona. Fortec and others.

Facu Regalia signed with Kaufmann according to sportmotores

Apparently there are more drivers signed but no website seems to bother reporting.

Mucke Motorsport have their 2009 lineup completed: Michael Christensen will lead their squad along with rookies Jack te Braak (BMW Junior from Holland) and Timmy Hansen (from Sweden).

It's a bit of surprise that Christensen left Kaufmann after the World Final to join Mucke.

Found a few more signing with some googling: EuroInternational will have Daniel Juncadella and Alexander Rossi, both supported by Red Bull plus rookie Felipe Nasr son (I think) of the SudAm F3 team owner.

Also David Mengesdorf will lead Eifelland's attack, while DAMS will field rookie Come Ledogar (2nd in FFSA's F. Academy).

DAMS will also field highly rated Spaniard Javier Tarancon , while I have learned that Jazeman Jaafar will be with Eifelland.

To sum up the situation looks like this:
Josef Kaufmann Racing Facundo Regalia
Eifelland Racing David Mengesdorf, Jazeman Jaafar
Double R Racing
EuroInternational Daniel Juncadella, Alexander Rossi, Felipe Nasr
FMS International
DAMS Javier Tarancon, Come Ledogar
Fortec Motorsport
Mücke Motorsport Michael Christensen, Jack te Braak, Timmy Hansen
AM-Holzer Rennsport
Motaworld Racing

FMSI have tested with Doru Sechelariu and Italian Formula Azzurra graduate Kevin Gilardoni in Magione. I would also assume that Ramon Pineiro will stay with Fortec although it is very, very difficult to find any news about the British teams.

Ramon Piñeiro is doing all to get the budget. He wants to continue with Fortec. He tested a few weeks ago with this team in Montmeló. I hope he'll get the seat, he's a good guy and very fast, but last year he had a lot of bad luck. He didn't race since he was 12, because he hadn't budget, so 5 years without competing are important. Also, in this test, other spaniard tested de fbmw car, Toño MartÃ*nez.

Fingers crossed for Ramon, he showed speed on occasion last year although he is clearly not matured. But that can be improved. As for Martinez, there is nothing too spectacular on his cv as far as I can see on driverdb.

Just a heads up, but Rossi has not committed to Eurointernational yet, going as far as to issue a press release with regards to this. That being said, I'd be very surprised if he is not racing Europe next year, with FBMW Europe and Euro an obvious choice.

Cheers,

Al.

Indeed there is a PR released by the driver on 19/12, however there is an interview in Stop&Go dated 25/12 in which Rossi hints heavily on a Euro program with EI.

Another development I have heard is that Manzur will stay with Kaufmann and will also be partnered by a BMW Junior, I would assume that would be Robin Frijns.
