focuszetec should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BTCC Thruxton 25th & 26th April

Hi all got my tickets today for this and I have got a track pass what does this mean? As this is my first time at Thruxton and it does not say in the enclosed instructions, thought I had better ask here!

Track pass means you're on a post somewhere between ,I think, post 5 & 19 and therefore you park your car on track at the startline for sign-on,then drive round to post

other times i`ve not had one and been out the back.

Hopefully the postman has been to mine this morning as well then - although I can only do the Saturday, so maybe I'm not selected this time round.

As for a Track Pass - never had one yet, although to be honest, I don;t think I have even been on the list of marshals at sign on either, I always end up filling out the 'Extras' list!!

From the Officials Instructions :"If you have not been issued with a "TRACK" car label, please park in car park "B"."

If you have a track pass use the gate by the flying club to get on to the track, you should have a post between 5 and 19 and will have to drive out round the track. Do not use the tunnel! Ask where to park because it's all changed out there!

[QUOTE=Peat;2443147]I have a Pit and Paddock passes. I take it im working in the pitlane then?

Hi Peat,
does your ticket say ‘Official Inc Paddock/Pits 2-Days’ and have HPP on it? You’ll probably also have a ‘guest’ ticket too which says ‘Complimentary Inc Paddock 2-Days’ with HAP on it (guests don’t get Pit access). If so these are the entry tickets for the meeting for you and a guest and doesn’t mean you’ll be marshalling in the Pit Lane or Paddock.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, cheers. i have the HPP and the HAP tickets. So i guess i find out what i am doing at sign-on?

Going back to my original post (sorry, im slightly panicing), do i definatley need proper probans, or will an orange high-vis do? Don't want to turn up unprepared now....

If this is your first event, then an orange hi-vis, some good waterproofs and some strong boots should be enough. Don;t forget a decent set of gloves.

Try to avoid outer clothing that is similar in colour to any of the flags - that way there is no confusion if you start waving your arm around.

Then, if you decide you want to stick at it, look to get your overalls later.

Then you have about the same experience as I do - only the other way round, all at Thruxton and only the BTCC at Brands...

See you on the Saturday morning

No tickets for me yet.

I'll be there, camping Friday and Saturday (got a wedding reception to go to though) hopefully in our Split Screen camper. Harry Vaulkhard may have his too, we're going to turn a BTCC meeting into a VW camper show!

Steve,
You mean your letting me down this time with no correct answer?
I'll let you off this time!!
This is new for me at BTCC the norm is for me to be put out of harms way around the back somewhere.
