Buckmore Park? It would be wider than the street track in Beijing from season two...

Interesting ideas for the A1GP GBR Venue!

All I will now say is WAIT AND SEE!

Maybe Donny/Silverstone have struck a deal to alternate A1/F1 (although Bernie & Max might not like the implication that the 2 are equal) - either way, bit rubbish for Brands to be shut out of the single seater loop.

Heard whispers at Brands as to why A1 isn't going to Brands Hatch...i know the racing isn't great, but seeing a big single-seater around the GP loop is something we'll probably have to wait another 10 years or so for now...shame

Agree entirely.

Could be hope though for the new FIA F2 Series if JP bids and wins to run it, although from what I hear they will be only 400HP but even so maybe a hope!

Someone's going to have to fill me in, because what I saw of the racing at Brands Hatch was excellent, and just seeing those cars whip around the GP loop was exhilarating.

The cars looked very good going around the GP loop... but there was just hardly any overtaking at all.

By the way, everyone, one of the reasons for A1GP not coming back could be the BTCC... they are running the GP loop in 2009, which will take up 3 days of GP loop running that A1GP used before. However, whether BTCC was brought in after A1GP said they would leave, I don't know.

Brands was always the most boring racing of the season on TV, in my opinion.

Yep... and live at the track, in the grandstand, it wasn't much better... seeing the same cars come by lap after lap in the same order is not too fun. The "Oh my God they're quick and loud" factor wears off after a while.

Entry to Hawthorn was stunning, with these cars that was the spot due to the powerboost. Don't know how you can find "Anything" quick sat 30ft up in a grandstand anyway.

Now we will have maybe? a few overtaking manouvers into corners that you can only see with binoculars!! Welcome to Silverstone.

Big single seaters still and always will belong at Brands on the GP circuit, well thats my opinion anyway.

Well, I wished afterwards that I had stood on the GP circuit for the races, rather than the grandstand... at first they seem quick and loud but if you stand next to the track you get 10x more of that, as I know from DTM and World Superbikes that I've seen at Brands.

Jonathan Summerton is returning for USA. With the consistency and form he was showing at the end of last season they should be strong (as per Portugal with Alberqueque returning).
