CPP joins Champ Car grid - Press Release

CCP Racing

...has announced their entry in the Bridgestone presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford.

For immediate release:

CCP Racing is proud to announce that they have secured the services of Michel Jourdain Jr. and Oriol Servia to drive their Lola / Fords for 2003.
CCP joins Champ Car as a fully self-funded team founded by the lovely and talented Mrs. P.
With almost bottomless coffers of cash they are already planning on adding a third car for CART veteran Max Papis who, due to some prior commitments, has been unavailable for the early season races.

"The deals came together late because no one believed I was serious," laughed Mrs. P. at the CCP press conference. "I telephoned Mr. Pook and let him know we'd be there and he said, "Who is this again?" ", she continued.
"I had to buy the cars and equipment and fly the drivers in on my private jets to see the shop and teams before they realized that this was not another BC Motorsports-style publicity stunt. Oriol wanted to hear them run to make sure that the engines were not mock-ups!"
The brand new Lola Fords will be painted blue with white stripes from nose to tail, a single broad stripe for Jourdain and two smaller stripes for Servia and will run without any sponsor logo's.
"We do not need any sponsors. I am ridiculously wealthy", Mrs. P. quipped when asked about the lack of decals.

CCP is scooping up all of the available mechanics and engineers who were left in the lurch when several teams abandoned Champ Car in their hurry to chase money in a sub-par series.

Look for their cars at round two in Mexico.
