P.Cummins should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thank you. I didn't understand how this worked. I thought both drivers ran on the track at the same time. I never knew they were nominated.

No - only one car per team is allowed on the track at any time during the meeting.

Car nominations should be through Sunday morning - will post them when I receive them.

So, hang on. If Michael Devaney is nominated for qualifying, can Ralph Firman still be nominated for the race?

Yes... but that might depend on his practice times.

However, in a twist to the traditional motorsport format, the driver who took part in qualifying may not be the one who competes in both races. Any of the A1 Team’s drivers that have set a practice time within 102 per cent of the team’s fastest qualifying lap are in with a chance to race.

I thought Ralph Firman was away (contracted to race GTs in Japan this weekend), which is why he couldn't take up his A1GP seat for this event?

Team Malaysia have made a bizarre decision. Fairuz Fauzy is driving the Sprint race today, with Alex Yoong taking over for the Feature race.
