What a cracking day at cadwell today some awesome cars. Plenty of action on my post (mountain Botton) an Alfa dropped a wheel right in front of the crossing causing a red flag. The drift cars starting right in front of our post.

A fab day on mountain top, had a fab view of the drifting , i think they found hall bends quite challenging!

Wonder how much oil was lost over the day, well done to those up at 6,7 and 8 i bet your arms are aching this morning with all the oil dressing you had to do!

Amazing! What a fantastic day on our posts (5/12) and thanks all to the great people on there for a fantastic day

We had gearbox failures, oil dumped on the track, turbo’s blowing (I think) and even some standard coming off the track more or less non stop action – with some fantastic cars.

It didn't rain! But it would have been nice if they had brought the EDC cars all the way round the Track so we could have seen them the upside was that we got stood down and able to have three breaks in the Day, I am considering applying to BP as we did clear up a lot of oil so I probably have the experience to work in the Gulf of Mexico, dont want to sound negative I had a great day

Certainly an interesting day!!! When the Rider dropped it on the 'demonstration laps' 'we' just knew it would be one of them days.

How much oil does a Honda CRX hold (with the amount of smoke i didn't expect there to be anything left to drop on the circuit - how much of an understatement was that!!), thanks to Posts 6, 7, 8 & 11, the circuit staff and Mark in the fire truck for their asistance in clearing it up.

Apologies to race control for making the cardinal sin of requesting a 'Red Flag' rather than a 'Race Stop'.

Can I echo Al's comments and thank everyone (including the day-staff) for all the hard work that went into making the day go so well despite slicks to make a gullf coast beach look clean (well almost).

I did mention to those in charge that maybe next year if the EDC could be timetabled in such a way as to allow those out in the country an opportunity to see them in action - but guess what -those clever folks had already been talking about it!

So thanks again to all concerned I was well chuffed with the turn out, it was a different day as promised, here's to next time!

I was on post 6, OMG, was 7 foot and 17 stone when we started dressing that oil.......by the time we finished I was 5 foot and 8 stone
