I don't know where to find it on the new WC-site, but the old one had an overview of all the contingency sponsorship by the various manufacturers. You usually found that there was a bit of a correlation between good contingency programs and the ratio of the various car makes in the field.

See, that to me looks like a race worth watching. Lots of cars, interesting marques and models. And lots of horsepower. Looking forward to seeing the GT/GTS race on the Streets of Toronto in July.

I watched the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (aka Mosport) TC/TCA/TCB round in person and it was underwhelming. Too many little cars buzzing around. It was pretty much indistinguishable from the Canadian Touring Car Championship race the same day.

The lap times of the PWC and the TUSCC GTD are very similar.
GTD Pole Audi R8= 1:32:914
PWC Practice 2 Cadillac CTSVR= 1:33:005 http://www.imsa.com/sites/default/fi...files/Qual.pdf

Interesting. You'd think that the World Challenge cars would be a bit faster, seeing how they are in full GT3 spec and run on supposedly better tires.

Thought they are pegged back (in pwc) and I think the tires are probably pretty tough (no pit stops)?

The PWC pole is a 1:31.899 and the GTD pole is 1:32.914, So about a 1 second difference. The front row are the only non-GT3 cars running in the series (seems interesting that the GM cars are on the front row for a race in Detroit). I did notice that the spread of the top 18 cars, that GTD had a 2 second spread and GT had around a 6 second spread.

They are on the grid and doing the line up right now. Also the video at full screen looks great now that they are using HD.

The stream had some issues. I couldn't get it in HD, there was a huge echo for the first 20 minutes, the next 15 had no announcers and finally they got it right, but it was around when they had a caution.

Seems that the Cadillac's broke out to a 5 second lead and then just ran around. Plus, it looks like those cars have exhaust decals on the back of them. At least, a GM product won in GT, Ford in GTS and a Dodge in GTA. Good day for the big 3 in their home town.

Not the best race ever, not going to get what you ask for from a street circuit.of course raw power is going to win here.

Marcello Hahn, only Lambo at the race. Under full course caution he hit the Caddy safety SUV when he lost control on the damp area that everyone else managed to drive past successfully.
