Yes F1, the business is in a mess, but am I naive to suggest that Jean Todt may be the man to sort out a lot of these issues?

Whoever comes in, you won't get another 'ring master' like BE. F1 post BE will have more of a corporate structure, probably several people would do what BE does, with clear lines of responsibility.
F1 as an entity is actually under commercialised, it's only relatively recently that we have seen any official F1 partners, for example. I would imagine that in a new structure we would have. A CEO - overall responsibility Commercial Director - responsible for agreements with circuits and TV Communications Director - responsible for implementing a strategy that presented F1 overall, how it communicates/interacts with fans/media and the wider audience. Marketing Director - responsible for marketing F1 to brands |
