Clio RS Jean Ragnotti

Hi to all Renault fans.

There is something that I would like to know. Namely, I have heard that Clio RS jean Ragnotti will be commercialized also in UK.

Now, could you tell me if this Clio for UK has mounted last back headrests. If no, will be homologation for normal every day ride possible?

Any info will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Is this the same car that will shortly be coming out in the UK as the 'Clio Sport Cup' and will be a 172 with homologation special wide track suspension?

My brother-in-law is getting one next week, so I shall report back on my findings....

To answer the two questions - yes, the Clio Ragnotti is the Clio 172 Cup. It's called Ragnotti in France (and posssibly elsewhere), I think we decided to call it the Cup to tie in with the racing series, and becuase Jean Ragnotti isn't as well known in the UK. I say 'we', because I work for Renault in the UK.

The Ragnotti/Cup is a fully homologated road car, I'll have to check about the rear headrests - they may have joined the ABS on the list of things deemed not necessary. Colleaugues of mine who have driven it say it's a wonderful machine, but I suppose I'll just have to make do with my 'normal' Clio 172 when it arrives in November.....

Just checked - no rear headrests in the Clio Cup/Ragnotti. Makes sense - who would want to take passengers, they only slow you down!

how about a version with no rear seats, no leather no carpets. Just bare metal, a race seat and a roll cage ?
