1/ dirani- good driver and best car will hand him the title even if he is a rookie to the series
2/ piquet- will lose the title due to mistakes and off days much like last year.
3/ carroll- a year in ONE team will help for stability. 3rd place is more from driver talent than car performance (which will hurt viso)
4/ lloyd- like carroll it is the drivers talent that is the bigger ratio in the standings but to a much lesser extent
5/ piccione- he is carlins second best driver (parente should be easy to beat considering how bad carroll beat him korea.

Do you think Adam will manage to fund a whole season? I think that a few missed races will hold him back. I also think Hitech will be one of the leading teams and worry Carlin this year. Plus PK is out for the cup, and no mistake.

From a reliable source, Asmer has no connection with Williams anymore

Asmer will surprise a few! He may not win this year but I expect a few podiums from him. If he could just tame the red-mist he could be in for a competitive season. Certainly I expect more from him than James Walker. I've been very disappointed with James since his switch to F3 I have to say. I rated him highly from his FFord days as did many but he's really disappointed so far

To be quite honest I feel Piquet has the greatest chance of winning the championship this year, with the Carlin chaps lurking around. A few podiums from Viso,Rossiter and various others

My chrystal ball says:

1. Mansel Jnr
2. Prost Jnr
3. Hakkinen Jnr
4. Alberetto Jnr
5. Letto Jnr
6. Sirtees Jnr
7. Moss Jnr

There's no point bashing each other on this, no one will know for sure until the end of the year! Lets just see what happens............ Enjoy!

yeah i keep forgetting how good ll these teams are showing. it just goes to show that even if hamilton and green and a few others are not in this championship, it should still be great to watch!

anyway regarding carrol. i think he said when he joined p1 that he has a full years budget or the team has the budget for him. i think if i cant quote that he said he will do a full year.

we all know that absence from races, too many team changes, lola domes and a bloke called judiche or whatever hampered his chances of a good result last year. atleast autosport recognised he did good buy ranking him third in theri drivers championship thingy. he WAS faster that keohane in he lola im told. and he troubled rob austin at menu. even at the spa adr event, although nothing seemed spectacular he was dqed from qualifying on the front row for what was in my opinion a very triial reason and in those races he overtook a few cars. at kms he imediatly troubled glock outqualifying him alot and being faster int he races. it was just having to learn the tracks during first qualifying that meant he couldnt beat glock 100% i think. it is fair to say ima carrol fan and therefore am slightly biased but i wouldnt be a carrol fan for nothing - he is spectacularly quick. i think he could be in the top three in this years championship behid the 2 brazilians, yes!

The big question is - will Lola put their hand in their pocket to run Danny Watts with Promatecme? If so, there could be a major upset!

I would personally like to thank SuperMINI for the appearance of the Flying Scotsman(tm) in your top ten.

And I have it on very good authority that the Hitechs are THE team for 2004, whatever noweels thinks.

Mind you, Kane in the Fortec isn't gonna be a pushover either!

When do you think we'll hear about that, if it happens? Will Watts be out at the next tests?

According to my sources, Lola will not be out at Croft this week, which is disappointing. Maybe they were not expecting to go quite so well at Oulton Park.

Let's hope the decision-makers at Lola read this forum and take some notice!

I have it from a source that Danny was flying out to Spain today. Euroseries testing anyone? They spoke to him and he seemed a bit downcast which is a real, real shame! Come on Lola do the decent thing and give Danny a drive for 2004, you won't regret it!

I heard that Kane might be out testing with Fortec at Croft this week but I've heard nothing about him signing. I think if he did he would be a capable top 10 runner but not quite championship material!
