Riva Team Thexalot proudly announces its now 3 car 'Season Of Endurance' entry in the 2011 International V8Supercar Championship series.

Riva Coffee, an iconic Australian instant coffee brand, is using V8Supercar to enhance its product recall, its consumer awareness and the purchase disposition of its current & future customers by entering V8Supercar with an on track presence, and an off track promotional program.

So far we have achieved, and indeed surpassed all of our marketing goals set at the start of this program! Except one. As of December 2011, Riva Instant Coffee shall not be available on the Australian market. The livery on the Riva Team Thexalot cars shall be as currently presented until alternate sponsorship can be sourced.

Viva Riva!

Running 3 immaculate SBR-built and prepared Ford Falcon FG2's, the Riva Team Thexalot operation, led by legendary preparation aces Ross & Jim Stone, under the irreplaceable dynamism of paddock elite Sir David Thexton, the team have recognised that it is time for a change in driver line up, to expand the racing team to an additional car.

On this note, Riva Team Thexalot have dispensed with the services of Mr Jamie Whincup, thanking him for his more than able contribution to the season, bringing his car to the driver's championship lead. Unfortunately the teams prize in this competition is well off the mark because Mr Whincup is worth just so much on the general market. All of the team wishes Mr Whincup well on his next adventures.

To this end, Mr Shane Van Gisbergen and Mr David Reynolds shall join existing steerer Mr Steve Owen into the 3 car Ford factory supported squad.

So to recap...

NAME: Riva Team Thexalot
SPONSORS: Riva Coffee, Ford, Thexton Armstrong
DRIVERS:
#4 Shane Van Gisbergen ($1,200,000)
#44 Steve Owen ($500,000)
#444 David Reynolds ($300,000)
MANUFACTURER: SBR Ford Falcon FG2

Enduro & Surfers Driver Prices

Drivers for the Enduros & Surfers Paradise

Enduros
If you wish, you may use one of your two allocated driver changes to hire some of the Sunday drivers that appear for Phillip Island and Bathurst. Your driver lineup, including enduro specialists, must still fit inside the $2M salary cap, but you will be allowed an extra pilot, so you can have a maximum of 4 drivers at these two races. You will automatically revert to your normal driver lineup after Bathurst, should you choose this option. Note that you do not have to pair up your drivers.

Here is how much they cost (Enduro drivers in blue):

Surfers Paradise International Drivers

For the Surfers Paradise Invitational, you will be allowed an extra $500,000 over and above the salary cap to add one international superstar (not a regular) to your normal three-driver lineup. If you had some cap room from your regular drivers, you can use it on your international; for example if you only used $1.8M on your 3 regulars, you can spend $700k on your international, for a total of $2.5M.
Adding an international does not count towards your two driver changes, but any changes to your regular driver lineup will.

WW Racing Enduro Line up

Well nothing is going to change for PI and Bathurst. Mr Whincup and Mr Coulthard are still the steerers.

However, the WW grid girls are looking forward to hosting Mika Salo as the guest driver for GC

In a late announcement, due to the catering truck serving spiked food for Friday Breakfast at Phillip Island the entire driver lineup has been forced to call in sick due gastroenteritis, as such Axeman Performance Racing has called in the substitutes:

Craig Baird ($400k)
Daniel Gaunt ($600k)
Tim Blanchard ($200k)
Allan Simonsen ($600k)
Total $1.8M

For simplicity and team comfort, these drivers will remain in the seats for Bathurst also, where hopefully thereafter our regular stars will be back to 100% fitness ready for the GC600, to help educate the team's International Driver

Team WARP SPEED shock announcement. For the rest of the 2011 season, TWS will be using Ford FG Falcons! To celebrate Star Trek's 45th anniversary, TWS will swap our famous purple and yellow Dodo Internet liveried cars for an all black space inspired livery. For car #8, TWS will be getting rid of our old red shirted drivers and transporting in Mark Skaife, David Reynolds and Jason Bargwanna.

Two Dollar Shop Racing is wondering why they bother, but they're signing Simon Pagenaud or someone whose name is a bit like that (who cares?) for Surfers Paradise.

If you need me, I'll be in the stock room, trying the pharmaceutical lines - something has to work....
