yo Andrew, noticed in Autosport last week that Mick Gardner racing (01636 822344 or 07764 222122) have flat patch and scales for sale, if you get them I will be in touch to see you and to set up the Ray!!!

Dermot Healy has some second hand scales and patch for sale on racecar.co.uk When I competed in FF1600 I used to buy Salters digital bathroom scales from Argos, cost about £30 each and were suitable for the weight of a 1600. The only disadvantage is that after each change the car has to be lifted and then allowed to resit on the scales. Unfortunately Zetecs are too heavy for bathroom scales so we eventually handed over our £1000 for some proper race scales!

Andrew, if your interested I have a flat floor and scales that I would sell for £650. The floor needs a little bit of TLC but is of good construction and includes ramps, bridges etc. The scales were new last year.

You could try Budget Race Parts who are on the web somewhere. It's actually a Classic Clubmans guy (Ray Harper I think) doing it himself, but the whole set was £600 and I've used them a lot on my stuff.

They seem pretty good, certainly good enough for club racing in your garage anyway.
