PS2 Steering wheels??
Any of you PS2 owners out there have a good steering wheel with it for your driving games?
I have managed to scrape the cash together for a PS2 I will be buying next week, and as I only want it for the racing & rallying, need a steering wheel. My budget for one would probably be around £50-£60. Any suggestions? Cheers tl |

The best one available is the Logitech Driving Force Wheel. It connects by the usb port and so is super precise when compared to the wooly steering you get with wheels that plug into the game port. If you can't stretch to the £69.99 price tag at the mo I'd seriously suggest you wait until you can before buying a wheel.

i have the driving force, i personally wouldnt recamend it though, specially if you play gt3 a lot. the brake pedal only gives 75 or 80% brake force. the f1 shifters arent meant sas shifters, but, as brake and gas paddles. but, when playing gt3, they tend to stop working without warning
the lack of steering range also feels restrictive. ive heard good things about the act labs wheel though. |

Leave the steering wheel for now - not all games play brilliantly with them in the first place, and with a bit of extra saving, you'll be able to get somthing a bit dearer and of significantly better quality, especially if you look around in the January sales (where space consuming unsold peripherals tend to go for bargin basement prices).

I had a look at the Logitech wheel on the net, and it does look quite sturdy.
I'm waiting till Boxing Day to get the PS2 - surely there'll be something off wheels too? |
