I do these in Flash 5 with a graphics tablet. Are they any good? I just do them for fun...

I think they qualify. Dare I say a little bland for my taste? The last one looks a bit like a pc sim screenshot..
Sorry if that sounds critical. I like the second one a lot though. |

thanks for the feedback. The Rex has had directional blurs applied to givr the 'speed' illusion. Similar to technique a technique i have played around with for painting, but much, much faster.

Good work
Art is very subjective to the viewer, but to me they certainly qualify. I really like the WRX one. The first one has shades of promotional artwork and as Ayse has said the Bathurst one looks like a PC shot. |

Just what I was thinking. I could easily see a larger version of the WRX pic framed and hanging on the wall.
Bathurst one is technically very good but very dull from a composition standpoint. |

I actually think the last one is the best - the WRX one has too much going on in it, the last one works because of its simplicity. Good stuff though.

The last two you posted are very reminiscent of works by Julian Opie, so yes, you could call it art as he's one of my favourite contemporary artists.
He did some F1 stuff too... http://www.julianopie.com/galleries/...ea/print04.htm |
