ahhh yes the start of the season where Hamilton had 2 engine blow ups. as for 2014/2015 retirements were pretty level....not the case this year |

Are there really that many dads around? * Button -> used to have his dad around until he passed away. Now had his mom in the last few races. * Massa * Verstappen -> although Jos doesn't show up every single time anymore - thankgod Who else? I don't think most drivers have there parent(s) or partner around at most occasions, just for special occasions like home grand prix or the last race of the season? |

Keke says he gets too wound up to attend the races nowadays, and that he doesn't want to unsettle his son. He wasn't even at Abu Dhabi over the weekend, choosing to stay with friends in Dubai and watch proceedings on the TV.
He either drove/helicoptered down to the circuit immediately after the race to join in the celebrations. |

How do? The first 2 engine faliures came in the first 3 races of the year on fresh engines in practice mode with the wick turned down, the third was a fresh engine while cruising out front at Malaysia and was a big end failure. He consistently saves more fuel than rosberg so doubt he's that hard on his engines |

Hamilton I'd say is a very adaptive driver, if he needs to save the car he would, if he needed to adapt to a wheelbarrow he would

Took him a while to adapt to getting his car off the line though. The poor starts are often glossed over when discussing points lost this season.

Ok Lewis had 3 bad starts...at most that lost him 15 points...he lost around 70 due to mechanical problems...43 at the start of the season and 28 in Malaysia.....I guess that's more than the bad starts... |

I keep seeing this figure, yet a race is worth 25 points! |

Rosberg left Malaysia leading by 23 points rather than Hamilton leaving with a 5 point lead...yes the win is worth 25 points but rosberg also moved up a place because of hamiltons retirement (the extra 3 points to make 28)

Toto Wolff has said that Nico leaves as "the best driver in Formula 1 today". Sly dig at Lewis?

I see it as a sign of respect, instead of a sly dig at your favorite driver.
Constantly feeling the need to tout the supposed superiority of your particular favorite is pretty pathetic, to be honest. Everyone knows Jacques Villeneuve is still the best ever. See how sad that is? |
