DSC and MWM seem convinced Honda will be making an official announcement and run a version of the 03a as a test bed, it was also mentioned Lotterer let slip on Twitter he has been approached to drive.

LeMans.pt should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I've been saying for more than 1 month... a very reliable source at Estoril LMS race told me that Strakka will have the same support that Highcroft once had!

Strakka will be a factory-backed team

I'll give an example for the sake of this thread, Level 5 started with Lola-Honda LMP2 cars but switched to the HDP ARX-01s in the middle of the ALMS season

Teams change cars all the time the issue is whether you can still claim an auto entry at LM.

Audi and Peugeot got their auto entries for 2011 with the R15 and the old 908 respectively, and claimed those invites and showed up with the R18 and new 908 respectively.

Japanese AUTOSPORT reported interview with Lotterer and Duval.
Lotterer desires a contract with AUDI. But he wishes the multiyear contract.
Duval considers race activity in Japan to be the first choice next year.
The problem is that the schedule of Spa overlaps with SGT.

Although I really hope that Lotterer drives for Audi, I would love it even more if he decides to go with Toyota. he already has strong ties with Toyota as he drives for TOM's in SuperGT.

Dempsey Racing Facebook page late last night said in addition to Grand Am effort and customer ALMS team there is still more news to come. Fingers crossed for LMP2 in ALMS, not WEC. They're saving the best for last.

"Official Dempsey Racing Fan Site
Thanks everyone for the well wishes today regarding our Rolex Series program with Mazda and Visit Florida. We will have a great year in 2012 and are excited to do both Rolex with Charles and Charlie and ALMS with Henri Richard and Duncan Ende. More news coming soon!"

"More news" might just refer to their Rolex 24 drivers or sponsorship or something... I wouldn't read too much into that just yet.

According to Minoru Hayashi(president of Dome)'s tweet,
He requested to supply a racing (prototype?) engine to a certain Japanese manufacturer.
Then, the manufacturer asked him whether he would contract with its factory driver.
In a word, he was required to employ its factory driver.
You cannot buy a Japanese-made engine with money. lol

That's not exactly a new policy though, is it? Kazuki Nakajima at Williams comes to mind...

Nissan would be the most logical to me, they already have a large presence in LMP2 with their engine and the Signatec team. So why not step up and be represented in LMP1.
I atleast not expect it to be Toyota or Honda. They both have LMP1 teams, Rebelion has a Toyota exclusive deal and Honda are on the brink of rebadging the HPD cars as Honda.

E-I have taken a leaf out of lemans.org and done a dreamy future entry story about Bentley - who have a new promotional video out.

http://www.endurance-info.com/versio...ance-8949.html

I have to admit they'd have some more impressive footage if they were flying down the Mulsanne at night rather than just caning it around Millbrook.

Come back to us Bentley...

I don't understand the fuss about the Bentley video. It is just a teaser for the new 4.0 V8 FSI turbo engine of the Continental GT and has nothing to do with a race program.

4.0l FSI V8 fits within the current GTE regulations and could be destroked for a LMP engine....

I hope that (Dome S103 - Nissan) come to life at Le Mans 2012

I don´t think MAZDA will try Le Mans in a near future (in LMP 1 at least)
