Brake Problem

Um...yeah, they're pretty important too!

Bad toiming by me as i am testing tomorow but i never know, someone might read this before then. Anyway, to the problem. While checking my kart over today i spun the axle to check it was running freely and everything was fine until about 3 quaters of the way round the brake stuck and then with a bit more force it span normally and then it happened again etc. The right brake pad was catching the disk however it was set back in the spring so it's not as if it hadn't released when the brake was last used. The disk dosent look out of shape and i am puzzled what to do.

I hate driving knowing in the back of my head their could be a problem, especially with the brakes! and i don't want them to over heat.

Anyone have any advice?

sounds to me like a bent/warped brake disc.... but im just the driver not the mechanic, and best bet's are that if you dont want a problem and you wanna get rid of that voice in your head about there could be a failure you should try and buy a new disk... should be easy to come across one, unless you got a stupid ass tony//kart *used to have one* where there brake is a differnt size to all other brakes so you can only buy from them! :/

sorry i couldnt be anymore help

I realised that so long as at the back of my mind i had the voice warning me of a brake failiure i wasn't going to be any where near the pace tomorrow so i have just been out in the garage. Started to take the brake assembly appart and noticed as i loosened the lower bolt, the brake was no longer catching, so it was simply just the lower bolt done up too tight, sounds simple now, but i'm not techinically minded! But at least the problem is solved now.
