Now for Qualifying Results:

Dr. Disque hit the home run this week....

Dr. Disque, GP Racer, and Jock25 all had Hornish on the Pole

Dr. Disque also was closest to the Pole Speed: Actual - 176.244 Dr. Disque picked 175.445 to earn that 2 pts. plus the two Bonus Points for picking both correct...

Great Picks!!!

Of the "Top Three Rows," Dr. Disque, Jock25, and Marcus all had 4 pts., and Tim N., Flavinha and Jock25 had 3 pts each...

No one had Danica as the slowest qualifier....because I'm generous, I would've counted Kanaan, even though he didn't set an offical lap time, but no one picked him, either.

GP, Jock25, and Flavinha all had Dario as the Top Honda for 2 pts.

Everyone but Marcus had Hornish as the Top Toyota

No One had Enge as the Top Chevy

The Results after Qualifying:

1. Dr.Disque -- 12 pts.
2. GP Racer -- 10 pts.
3. Jock25 -- 9 pts.
4. Flavinha -- 7 pts.
5. Tim N. -- 5 pts.
6. Marcus -- 4 pts.
7. Drewdawg -- 3 pts.

"Steamroller???????"

After this round of picks, I don't think I would even qualify as a "Rolling Pin"

BTW...Jock25 is now within 3 pts of me....we may have a new leader going into Kansas next weekend...

Good Luck tonight, everyone!!!!

Enjoy the race....

I won't get to watch it...We open our summer season of outdoor concerts tonight, and I'll be working from 5 p.m. until about 10:30 at night....

Hope everyone has good results tonight...

Thanks for being loyal participants int he Contest...I enjoy doing this!!!

In the "Milestones, Flavinha and Drewdawg had Helio as the leader at lap 150, and Marcus had Dario as the leader at lap 125 for 2 pts each

No one had dixon as 1st out

No one had Scheckter as the "Mover" -- 19th to 4th

No one had Briscoe as the "Fall from Grace" -- 3rd to 21st (Hornish was close 1st-18th)

Tim N. was clasest to Avg. Speed: Actual - 114.153 Tim N. - 115.312

The winner for this race:

GP RACER!!!!!! (Long overdue!!!!! Nice Job!!!!!)

1. GP Racer - 16 pts.
2. Jock25 - 14 pts.
(tie) Dr. Disque - 14 pts.
4. Flavinha - 12 pts.
5. Drewdawg - 9 pts.
(tie) Tim N. - 9 pts.

Kansas is always a wild shootout where anyone can win it in the last laps....

Season Totals After Seven Races:

1. Tim N. - 122 pts.
2. Jock25 - 120 pts.
3. GP Racer - 100 pts.
4. Marcus - 86 pts.
5. Flavinha - 80 pts.
6. Drewdawg - 60 pts.
7. Luke - 58 pts.
8. stmookey - 51 pts.
9. Daisy - 44 pts.
10. DrDisque - 36 pts.
11. sgw2 - 15 pts.
12. trow - 12 pts.
13. Raven - 11 pts.

We aren't at the halfway point yet....plenty of points to be gotten....

Flavinha is getting within striking distance of a podium or better...and GP Racer (who has actually had good picks, but just hasn't gotten the correct places until that last two races) is now starting to hit those spots...

Jock25 continues to be spot on or in the ballpark of fastest and average speeds both for Quals and the races, and those points are important ones....

Next week ought to be a wild one...

Can Toyota continue to be competitive???

Can Chevy continue to run strong like they did at Texas??? Especially Enge, who has been very fast the past two races....

Can Rahal-Letterman pull it together???

We find out next week at Kansas....

I'll post the next contest tomorrow

Good Luck!!!

I love this game... though I freely admit my position in the championship standings probably colours my opinion somewhat!

Yet another exciting Indycar race, and another new winner. Hats off to GP Racer

Closing in on our long-time series leader is certainly exciting...

I love doing it....

Because it is not the typical "Pick the Podium" or "Pick the Top Ten" contest....

I tried to make it challenging....and to make the participants think about more than the front of the field...

From my results in the last two races, maybe I made it too challenging for myself!!!

I'll check the IRL website for the practice shedule for next weekend, and then I'll post the Kansas "Contest" template for all of you...

Be still my beating heart, I finally won one of these contests!

When I got back from the USGP, I was really in no mood for Richmond, but leave it to the IRL to restore my faith!

Thanks guys!
