In the absence of the Toyota (see article) another Japanese car, the Dome S102.5, will be the focus of attention at Spa-Francorchamps. Love the Dome, always have... but the ACO PR guys are stretching here, to suggest that the big SPA storyline will be Dome vs. 4 Audi's... |

Still, with the way Toyota is screwing this up, the Dome might even perform better at Le Mans...that would be a big moral victory for them.

The one thing the ACO could really do with is a decent PR department. |

When the article refers to the new Pescarolo 03, they refered to the modified Aston Martin AMR one isn't it?

I'm sorry, but how many cars does DOME have? Who says they don't crash (I hope they don't) at Spa and have to rebuild their car and lose out on some of the race and a lot of testing? Unless they have a backup car ready, which is why I asked how many cars they have.

http://www.world-endurance.com/12/do...1334173346.php has a short report (in French) about the Navarra and Aragon test. During the three test days they covered more than 1100 km.
http://www.dome.co.jp/news/news/dt_115.html has a long report (in Japanese ) with more pictures. On the pictures you can see Bourdais in his race outfit and the new roof air intake that they tested. If google translate is not mistaken, Dome is disappointed that the car could only record a top speed of 310 km/h in part because the fender holes add a lot of drag. Maybe Japanese Samurai could help out with translation. If they can 'only' hit 310kmh that may be a shot in the arm to their hopes of showing up a couple factory cars.

However, Peugeot never tested the car with 2012 aero. If I run the article on the Dome website through a translator, they seem to be complaining about the fender holes. It seems that Dome did not do a lot of aero development, like Audi or Oak, to compensate for the added downforce and drag. They just cut the hole in the fenders and that is it.

I just read on http://endurance-info.com/version2/f...212405#p212405 that l'Equipe has an article on the recent Dome tests. The engine lacks torque and power and the vibrations of the V8 shoke loose parts of the car. The chassis is good, but the engine is a shortcoming.
Those remarks seem to corresponds with Oak's disappointment with the Judd V8 engine (i.e., down of power and reliability concerns). Last edited by gwyllion; 12 Apr 2012 at 15:23. |

One can hope that Judd have an massive upgrade package ready for Le Mans, otherwise i'm not sure Judd will continue as a Engine provider at Le Mans. |
