Right ok, hold your horses here folks!!!

I mentioned in the 'Asia V6' thread that things were potentially getting a bit over the top and now it's happened in this one too!!

Please remember the rules and guidelines on posting, by all means have a disagreement it's part and parcel of open discussions but not out and out arguing and slanging matches please.

Last warning - any more instances of this and myself, Bella and Stephen will have no alternative but to start dishing out warnings to certain individuals and/or close the problem threads!

Please play nice!!

sequentialbox should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Lam Pak i am not racist at all but it's a fact that motorsport in europe is hundreds years old and in china at most 10, so nothing wrong with it being more difficult in here.

We'd better stop comparing team on other things that presentation of team and cars and friendliness as all other subject are highly subjective.

Yes Champ won a race last year, when Mathias used M3 cars in sepang...
Then no more with champ car.Switched to ART and pole in the last two events, see you can make results say whatever you want.

Anyway i don't want a war and i wich all the team the best (yes including champ and frd),because the more team and driver and the better the races isn't it?

FRD decided to cancel Bira round, sound like is cause by recent politics chaos in Thailand.
Beijing street race may be added in chinese October's golden week hoilday, however 'Asian' Formula Renault has not truth now.

Thanks for the update Monkey Head although that was quite predictable...

So, if I read correctly the new calendar (http://www.frdsports.com/en/a_renaul...ault_main.html) on FRD much improved website there are a few things I'm trying to understand :

1. There will be no championship races in Zhuhai ???
Any reason to that ? Especially when Zic track calendar is totally empty for july and august ?

2. 3-4 Oct - Beijing street race with A1 ?
if A1 is not bust by then, will the teams be willing to revive the same fiasco as what happened last time they tried that ?

3. anymore info about that "Guangdong International Circuit" ?

1.According to some FRd sources ZIC has no empty slots for the Pan Delta Festivals in June or September. September is an alternative in case Chengdu race fails.

2.It should be a new location from 3 years ago one.Should be somewhere near Olympic water park and Cycing ground(NOT 'Nestle' and 'Water-Square')Thisd

3.This link is a ver good refrence

Typical FRD, the season didn't start and the calendar already changed 5 times.
I guess it will end up like last year with all but oe race in Zhuhai lol.

Strange though that this championship which is jointly organized by FRD and ZIC has no round in ZHUHAI.

typical asian championship. afos moves first race yesterday to later may not clashing with frd and a1 gp any more.
sequentialbox you ignored the first race of the championship (-no point) was ZHUHAI. make up your memory.
omympic park race in beijing must be the race of year in asia.

I do not want to open a new chapiter of Polemic with you Lam Pak , but you have to admit that whenever Sa Silva and Beche had a good and well balanced car (like ART car) , they were not looking too bad.

Look at Beche result at Shanghai when he left Champ Motorsport and jumped in a ART car. Pole Position and 2nd in Race 2.

Regarding Guillermo Pintanel, i do not think his pedigree is very impressive.

Pekka Saarinen as team Manager of Champ will already help a lot , as he is very well rated and good driver ... but it will not be enough. I reckon,if Champ is looking forward to be a title contender , they will have to attract some more experienced drivers.

Lam pak not sure what you are trying to do with champ.
I could understand you are a fan but please be objective and stop trying promote champ your posts actually makes them look bad.
Please stop praying the gods of champ and let us all stay objective.

Hopefully Pekka Saarinen as team manager will help but only if he got full authorities which i doubt.

Well previous support race for A1 was a disaster but hopefully they will have learned from their mistake.

Expect the calendar to change though as usually, it is still far from now...

I reckon Asian F2.0 is dead, it will not happen in 2009.

So we should rename this thread in "Asian Formula Renault Championship 2009"
