And who the hell is Gragson? Heard of Chastain but the other guy is so perfect and on top of things he's the guy to confront a driver?? Watched a couple of the videos and he is what everyone wants to complain about the participation trophy folks. First don' talk **** and pose if you ain't ready and leading with your face when the other guy clearly has been in a fight or 2, yup perfect. Second, if you're gonna then fight don't box yourself outso you can't even hit the other guy, you look like a tool

As far as I'm concerned anymore, DH stands for two things: de Havilland and, well, you can probably figure out the other one.


So many drivers anymore act like tools on a weekly basis. Thankfully I'm just a casual fan (been that way since 2007--probably the better for it as with a lot of things nowadays).

Busy and never watched it. So the edited highlight seems to be Hamlin, Chastain and Gragson behaved like buttholes again. It's probably lucky for those guys that the likes of Smoke and Kenseth aren't on track to educate them properly.

Anyone who states it's the team and garage not the "nuts and bolts" kit that NASCAR gives you makes you quick makes it tough to take their "engineering" statements seriously. Sorry but see last couple seasons and the no practice qualifying events, none of the small teams magically went to the top. The big teams just build it better, set it up better, age things out at the right time and not try to cut corners. Not that I don't trust RWR but I don't at all

No one expects less than 10 days before and after for everything for a street course, what idiots thought less. And now mufflers needed for 10dB reduction it seems. And the museum and dog parks in the area want to be open, poor puppers outside for that

Plain stupid, all they had to do was talk to F1 and the officials at Monaco to gain an understanding. Monaco is about money, pure and simple. I have no idea how much wealth or otherwise is in Chicago, but it isn't a millionaires paradise.

And Monaco just isn't a race, it's a spectacle but it's not a race; the guy who bags the pole position has to stuff up or get unlucky to not be victor. NASCAR viewers expect overtakes... they'll have to settle for Chastain burrying the opposition in barriers and a gazillion cautions probably.

I still have not spoke to anyone who has said NASCAR on a street great idea - everyone the exact opposite.

NASCAR's site is just waaaaaay too much so I had to go ^^ there ^^ to read the format.

Here is a reminder of what to expect this weekend:

In addition to practice held Friday, qualifying will be the Pit Crew Challenge. Each team must complete a four-tire pit stop during the challenge, with the timing lines being one pit box behind and one box ahead of the team’s designated pit box.

The pit crew challenge will determine the starting lineups for the All-Star Race heat races and the All-Star Open. A $100,000 bonus will be awarded to the winning team from the Pit Crew Challenge.

A simplified racing format will highlight the weekend.

There will be two 60-lap heat races held Saturday for the All-Star Race. The results of the heat races will determine the starting line for the All-Star Race — results from the first heat race setting the inside row and the results from the second heat race setting the outside row.

All laps — green and caution — in the heat races will count. There will be one chance at ending in overtime.

The All-Star Open, run Sunday evening, is 100 laps and all laps will count. There will be a competition break around lap 40 and one chance at ending the race with overtime.

Three drivers will advance out of the Open: the top two finishers and the fan vote winner.

The All-Star Race, run Sunday night, will be 200 laps split into 100-lap segments. Teams will start on sticker tires and have three additional sets in their pit box. However, after the lap 100 competition break, only one set of stickers can be used.

All laps will count in the All-Star Race, and there are unlimited attempts at overtime.
