I feel sad for Pescarolo Team they had a huge crash during the rain period today(Emmanuel Collard at the wheel)
One of their rare retirements at Le Mans |

Haven't seen the crash but I find it remarkable Pescarolo always manages to run at the front of the non-factory cars.

Remember, this is a team that has taken the fight to Audi before. What was amazing though was how despite not knowing the team would even exsist until earlier this year they are already the best privateer team in the field (ORECA has basically become a constructor to me now). Rebellion had a great fight with these guys and Im pretty excited about the championship battle between these two teams this year. AMR should learn from these guys, Henri always seems to be getting the best out of limited resources compared to the factory teams for a sold, reliable team and car.

It'll be interesting to see what they do next year, if they can't get a factory deal, the best option would surely be working with Oak.

Looks like Henri Pescarolo said during the race he will have a two cars effort in 2012 world endurance championship
But also said he didn't know what kind of cars that would be |

Makes one wonder why Nissan would go for a team like Signatech , with very little experiance or pedigree , over Pescarolo ?

Unlike several other teams, when Henri Pescarolo says he is planning on doing something (ie his hint he wanted a 908 back in 09), it usually happens.

AMR shouldn't just learn from these guys, they should give them some money and some Aston badges

Isn't that the same driver who crashed the leading Corvette last year when he failed to spot an LMP that surprised him!?

Brief but interesting interview with Henri Pescarolo in which he says "We (Pescarolo) have completed the study of a new car."He claims that if he is unable to produce this car for 2012 then they will "evolve" the current car for next year. (I assume DB 3.4 Judd V8 and new bodywork)

Unless Oreca moves on to a different LMP project then I dont think we will see Pescarolo with a Peugeot anytime soon. To be honest unless Henri can find a new manufacturer to produce an LMP1 engine (ie Renault/Nissan) or gets his hands on the HPD 3.4 V8, I dont see a better customer engine option than Judd. The Toyota appears to be a great little engine with both speed and reliability but remember its a Lola exclusive.

How can Pescarolo build their own car, yet claim to be on a tight budget?
Wouldn't it make more sense to link up with OAK? |

We have seen what these guys have been able to create on a shoestring budget before and Ive doubted Pescarolo 3 times before, the 2004 car, 2005 hybride and the 01 in 2007, yet each time they have prooved me wrong. |

They're going to have to do something special considering the level of competition, will another evolution cut it, or will they need an all new chassis to see them through the next half decade?

It depends what their ambitions are, best of the rest or overall victory and if their budget will allow. Unlike some other teams, Henri isnt naive and over ambitious enough (cough, AMR and Dave Richards, cough) to create a completely new car that would turn out to be an epic failure.
