What The Hell Do Prost Think There Playing At ! ! ! ! !
I have just read on Autosport.com, that Prost are going to replace Burti with Thomas Enge at Monza this weekend, why the hell can't they give the drive to the NEW F3000 champion Justin Wilson, or is he not good enough ! ! !

Prost is short of cash, $20 million dollar loss or something recently revealed, so they ain't gonna put Justin in the car just 'cos he's the champ.

Enges got lots of Coca Cola money or Czech backing of some sorts - poor old Justins got.... Palmer as his manager, so diddly squat! Moral of story - is it really worth winning the FPA championship when the prize is to be saddled with the good Doctor as your manager? If I were Justin I'd tell Palmer to F O & go sign with David Sears or Didier Cotton and use the money I earnt from getting a good drive to pay the court bills when Palmer inveitably (like the sore loser he always was) sued him.

Justin Wilson will be testing for McLaren later this year and I think with Jordan as well. Ferrari who supply Prost engines will probably be against the move because Justin could compare the ferrari and Mclaren engines and bring Mclaren an advantage over ferrari. This happened earlier this year when Marcel Fassler was going to have a test with sauber but ferrari then blocked the move because he was going to test with mclaren as well and ferrari also supply sauber with their engines. also isnt Enge prosts test driver?

How much does winning the F3000 title really mean. Isn't it true that no F3000 champ has ever done well in F1.

Formula One is not a sport. It is an Event, a Demonstration, and an Exhibition. And it is entirely about Buying Things.
Tomas Enge (no "h" please) is a good pilot who has a lot of money. This is an excellent combination. It is probably the best Prost could hope for at this point. I wish young Mr. Enge well. |

Look on the bright side....
They could have promoted Norberto Fontana, a guy who must set a record for appearing in F3000 the longest after a debut in Formula 1. Their F3000 team has now dumped the gifted Jonathan Cochet (last eyar's French F3 champion) in favour of two pay drivers (Baumgartner and Fontana) who are both, frankly, retards. Prost have serious money troubles and can't really comtemplate retaining Ferrari power next eyar at that price. And Burti ought to be checking the fine print of his contract for next year, or get on the phone to some potential sponsors, as he will be expendable. Enge may be a pay driver, but he ahs shown some genuine racing skill.

just because someone has the statistics doesn't mean they're good enough to get the drive.

I have to agree - Badoer or Sarrazin should be in the Prost for this one.

sarrazin.
but tomas did a good job in the test, and obviously is no slouch. prost don't have the resorces to give good parts to both cars, so his will be slower anyway. i wouldn't go dissing him yet. |

I think Tomas did a good job today, considering the time he had.
