Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I think if he was going to tell you that then it would have been in that post

No that is correct its just over £500k to drive the Chevy actualy £54k a round james Nash said anyway.

Sad realy that its money that buys the drives and not talent gone are the days when a good young driver will work his way to the top to a works drive now if you have the money just payup and drive.

In years to come all we will have is a bunch of rich kids with no talent.

Great to see Jackson get a seat at Motorbase. Glad Kane is back too, very solid line-up there!

Interesting they're still Airwaves BMW. No idea why they're bothering with a manufacturers championship though, perhaps it would be better to replaced it with a nations cup ...

The remaining question is... who will be racing at Triple Eight?

Perhaps some more surprises?

Turkington and Gio? I know, I know...

I'd say more likely is one/two from Phil Glew, Dean Smith, Erkut Kizilirmak and Nick Leason!

The announcement I was told that was due for one of the 888 Vectra's has not been made yet. That they are just listed as two TBAs does not necessarily mean the deal is off yet though!

Interesting.. Just thinking of all the endless possibilities here. But if they are Scottish.. Reid, Adam? Doesn't seem likely?

Anyone picked up on that?

Notably Honda and, for the first time, Chevrolet have entered as official manufacturer teams with former champions and fierce rivals Matt Neal and Jason Plato spearheading their campaigns, running under the Team Honda and Silverline Chevrolet banners respectively.

Isn't that really more just a case of paperwork and registration fee, than Honda suddenly bankrolling Dynamics to the high heavens. Steve Neal has said several times that they're not. Anyway, does it matter? They've two cars on the grid, and two good pedallers, that's all that counts.

Think Dean Smith is far more likely to turn up in a Triple 8 at the F3 Media Day later this week tbf than switch to the BTCC in a Vectra.

It's Manufacturers and Constructors though, so anyone who builds their own car. E.g. RML, Dynamics, AON, Triple 8.

To be fair you can have a Manufacturers Championship without any official teams, as every car has a make.

Honda and Chevrolet will compete for the Manufacturers award (if there is one)

Honda, Chevrolet, Ford, maybe Vauxhall, Volkswagen will compete for the Constructors award (provided it is continuing this year)

Was the golf constructed over here though? I thought it was bought from somewhere in the baltics?

According to the entry list: Honda, Chevrolet and Ford for were eligible for the constructors but i think vauxhall should be on the list too.

IIRC the Golf was imported then modified so i don't think they will be in the constructors
