HRT launched their new livery today apparently... it was on #7 news... but the 'sole source' of Australian motorsport infotainment carries no information about such things...
I mean its only the 2011 Bathurst winner... factory Holden team.. nobody important... From the footage, since there are no pics around yet, Rockstar stays on the bonnet, Toll is on the doors (of both cars..) and there seems to be some gold striping on the car, maybe reminiscent of the Jim Beam #18 of Mr Courtney... Lets see what the Holden Motorsport PR machine does in the next few hours to are the official images... But for now.. what looks like a snapshot off the teev...

when you enlarge the pic, you can see all the gold highlights around the lion, looks like i will need to check it out more on Saturday.
at this stage i like last years better, but thatmay change when i see it in a race, might look good in the dark also |

Holden Wise, the General's service division, has taken the glare strip on the HRT cars. Believe last time they were involved in the category was when they occupied the same position on the Gibson Motorsport Commodores in the mid 90s.

These livery shots are showing teams painting their wheels. Something I'm not used to seeing on the cars in race trim for the last year or two.
I wonder whether they will just revert to the unpainted metal come race days... |

... for the enduros...  Wonder what happened to Mr Mostert... story being pushed rather hard late last year was that FPR had designs on him being a codriver to one of the FPR main game runners... seems not to have come to fruition... .. then the story evolved to suggest that TDR may be running ae ex-FPR Falcon in the development series for Mr Mostert, and that they may be teaming up in #3 in the enduros... I guess stranger things have happened...

Interesting to read in the very last edition of Motorsport eNews...
 ... that Mr Reindler is to be announced possibly as early as tomorrow as the new pilot of the #11 Fair Dinkum Sheds Commodore, as run by Kelly Racing. Looks like the racing number #16 is back in the sheds for whoever might want it... ... that Mr Patrizi is to be announced tomorrow as the new pilot of the #91 Commodore, as run by Tekno Autosports. No word on sponsors however.. ... that Mr Douglas is to be announced this week as the new pilot of the #30 Commodore, as run by Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport. No word on sponsors here either... ... that Mr Ingall's WP-run, Super Cheap Auto-sponsored #66 Commodore shall be unveiled to the world on Friday @ 11am, at Sandown... From the disguised preview shot, Castrol is returning, while it looks like King Gee has the windscreen strip. So much for Holden support?  ... that Mr David Russell shall be announced imminently as driving alongside Mr Waters in a pair of Kelly Racing run development series Commodores. No word on sponsorship however... ... that Matthew White Motorsport has purchased a new car, interestingly the FPR FG chassis used by Mr Mostert in the last 2 rounds of the 2011 development series. Sponsored by Jaylec, the #27 car shall be piloted by Mr Blanchard, in his second year with MWM... |
