H16 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
R&S MKIII C Judd

Does anyone know if Robinson has any plans to run thier R&S MKIIIC Judd in the ALMS in 2003?

I have heard that the modifactions in the front to try and find extra downforce have meant that the ACO may not allow it on grounds of saftey.

It was a wonderful looking car and it is a stain on the world of sports car racing if the car is not raced in 2003 after all the modifactions the team did to the car.

The Robinson car is now outside type homologation I believe, because of those substantial changes. It would have to be crash-tested again. Won't happen.

Well, I guess that would leave the front-end design used by Matthews Racing. It was quite effective during the PLM, combined with the rear wing end-plates, similar to the ones being used by both Audi and Pescarolo/Courage.
Don't be surprised to see more teams using them by Sebring...

They can't just stick the old nose on, the car is too different. Not without a major rebuild.
