Russell had a major at turn 1 and when he got on the wet grass, it was amazing that the BA wasnt destroyed. Major damage to the suspension after getting airborne through the infield and the car was never going to make it out in time for qualifying.

How about 2 seconds covering 30 cars!!

V8X Site says "Russell Ingall had a huge crash in the final practice session, slipping off the tack in a pile of oil left when the engine let go in John Bowes OzeMail Falcon. Ingall speared off the track and was airborne, almost flipping the Havoline Falcon before coming to rest with significant damage to the underside of the car."

He missed the Qualifying session and will start rear of grid tommorrow
