Along the lines of what others have said, the Zytek will be quick, but Penske in their own playground will be too much.

Lusitano should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Looking forward to follow this one, from the Emerald Island!

The American part of our "Le Mans 2008" team is likely to attend this (small trip from NJ), as an appetizer for the big one. I got a few hooked last year!

As it stands right now it looks like it wont happen as it got struck down by the planning commission, but it still has one more chance before the full county commission next month.

That would be great, however, there is not a clear difference between "Factory" ( Works ) or "Privateers." Many Privateer teams recieve factory support in some form.

And when you really look at the structor of the so called Factory teams, they are run by indpendent business, sepearate of the manufacture. Penske Motorsports = Porsche Spyders, PME = Corvette, Champion Audi ( North American Audi dealership) = Audi R10s. Yet these are clearly the Works or Factory teams.

They line may be a bit fuzzy as in Dyson Racing. The race Porche Spyders, and do recieve Porchse technical help and support, yet they are a privteer team.

what I was trying to convey is that the European LMP2 cars are mainly privateers, (except theoretically the Radicals, but that is not a zillion dollar factory either), while the American LMP2s are really gifted with factory support. I have seen the Porsche 3 times, of which twice at a Porsche stand on a major motorshow......

The Bruichladdich Radical can be considered as the "factory" team...

Ok not sure what you mean by "gifted"? If you mean "talented", yes. If you mean "Given" to the teams, NO. Penske purchased the four Spyders from Porsche.

Is that true?

I always thought that Porsche North American commisioned the cars and then paid Penske to run then. I guess I was wrong.

Penske bought the cars, Porsche pays for the technical support, tones of spare parts, DHL pays to take the cars to the races.

Combination of funding / partnerships / sonsorships. Not aways easy to figure out "whos on first"?

Mariantic are reporting

Jan Charouz & Danny Watts join Mücke in the LMP2 Zytek @ PLM - EI (adds weight to the story that Charouz's Lola is sold ,

Mowlem is back with Risi 430 .

Is the Danny Watts link anything to do with LNT possibily buying the car ?

Who bought the Charouz Lola ..... possibily Intersport if its sold at all ?

What will Charouz have for 2008 ?

I just think he proved himself in the car at Silverstone, very quick pedal man! (And a nice guy to boot!)

What other choice is there besides the Judd? The AER certainly has disappointed this year.

With RML being involved with X-Power, will the car be re-badged an MG as with all their previous Lolas?

Not to put too much a dampener on this speculation, but it may be possible that Charouz will focus on single seaters instead of sportscars next year. Given the regs, there is virtually no chance of victory...a fact which clearly reduces enthusiasm. Additionally, despite being quick (given their driver line-up), their overall performance (results) must be disappointing from their perspective. I think there is a possibility that they will jump ship and and do GP2 instead--with the odd buy drive in a sportscar.
