I assumed they meant the holes. No idea what else might be wrong with it.

Last week it was announced on DSC that Kodewa are announcing a "New LMP Project" this week, I wonder if this is why the Bailey P2 is at Le Mans?

Also why is it in the middle of what looks like a Ford dealership?

2013 Baily-Ford badged as Lotus?

Are there any interested people ..... looks nice . Maybe Bailey need to showcase it themselves .

It did have a Ford engine in their high speed testing , but not sure what it has now . Nice chassis for a Roush/Ford in the ELMS with George Fouche as a driver , and young Van Der Merve .

Get it sponsored by Kreepy Krawly and you'll probably have the complete offering.

SSCollins mentioned in another thread that 2 Bailey P2 chassis have been ordered .

Im wonderin if its for the same team or perhaps 2 seperate teams .

Looking forward to seeing a new mark enter the sportscar world , and wish them every success .

I hope them have a proper business plan , meaning spareparts support , cuz that could be their undoing if it doesnt go well with the teams running it .

Excellant to see a manufacrurer from Africa too .

sure? Kodewa is "related" to the group that run the HRT F1 team until last year, so just guessing they want to build an own car

Its not Kodewa. One has gone to a South African, the other to a French outfit. The third chassis is in build now - not sure bout that one.

Also Bailey has been building competition cars for yonks. Including a great 917 replica

Don't know of any major racing teams from Suid Afrika, but good to see an entry coming from the country.

Could the French team be the Extreme Limite team? Their Norma was up for sale a few days ago on http://www.racecarsdirect.com/listin...orma_lmp2.html but it has now been removed.

Could this be an option for Lola teams, like Blackswan - who want to compete in LMP2 but in a closed car??? Or are teams like that looking for a more proven package?

Thats the issue with Bailey , its unproven so far . Coming up against Oreca 03 and the likes will be hard .

Looking forward to seeing this exciting little car though .

But if you don't want the Oreca 03, what other choices is there really to get a newly designed car?

First , it depends on build quality , It could look the part , but might be done on the cheap .

But , as 2 are already ordered , Im sure the interested parties have had a good look at it .

I really hope this car works , and can take the fight to whoever ..... be great to put South Africa on the map of sportscar racing ..... and who knows , maybe in future we get a race on that continent too .

Absolutly fingers crossed on this one .

Sbarta Sport is testing the Bailey LMP2 in South Africa. They're hoping to purchase one for the 2012 LMS. Also, a South African LMP2 team using the Bailey could be in the works.
Could this be the 2 chassis being talked about ?

A South African team would be magic , adds a little more international flavour to the series .

Hello Badger

Thank you for the invite to 10tenths. sorry for the wait.
i;ve read through the forum briefly and i'll try answer some questions.

To Start with our car was on display this year at Le Mans 24 hour. in an effort to help secure sponsors and awareness for our potential customer. SBarta sports. The car was painted in full South African colours and displayed the Bailey cars company sponsors and partners for the project. These sponsors have been loyal to Bailey Cars over the years of racing in South Africa they were not however racing sponsors of the LMP car at Le Mans.
