It certainly shouldn't be any closer to the factory cars than it was last year IMO. I'm not really concerned about the Lola. The important thing for me is that they balance the R-One and Lotus when they arrive.

eps should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'll admit that I initially thought that having the 24hrs at the end of the season did sound like a good idea but actually it is a bad idea, imho. The drivers will be tired, the teams will be tired and who knows some may well drop out part way through the season due to lack of funds. It's a massive race.

As others have mentioned you'd have the complication of wanting the WEC and/or the 24hrs.

In a way the 24hrs just doesn't quite sit well with the rest of the WEC. It's a bit like a hexagonal peg in a pentagonal hole. It sort of almost fits, but not quite.

But the drivers do enjoy being able to take part in a WEC.

Needs a little more thought...

Needs more prestige to it imo. Something like 8hr at Monza or Nurburgring. Another "big race" to complement Le Mans. Perhaps in time...

Perhaps a 10h race at the end of the season, maybe on a different continent then LeMans to balance the World-status, like North America? And maybe also a 12h or 24h race at the very beginning of the season somewhere that has a warmer climate in January-March then Europe, to kick it off with a bang?

And imagine if such an event already existed, then it would be easy to include it in the WEC, rather then starting an all new evert, right?

Imagine if such an event existed, how great it would be...

How about Nurburgring 1000km as the inaugural race in August, and Le Mans as the finale?

More likely that teams pause and don't do a few other WEC races so they can do LM. They get more sponsorship exposure and money from LM than the rest of the WEC.

I like the streamlined windshield/cockpit shape vs. the current trend of very bulbous ones.

Even though theyre all the same dimensions according to the rules, it looks like the windshield is shaped like the 908's and not the R18's. You get what I mean?

ENDURANCE COMMISSION

Changes to the 2014 World Endurance Championship Sporting Regulations were approved, including a proposal on the ‘Full Course Yellow’ (FCY) which was agreed for cases when the track needs to be neutralised without having to resort to the Safety Car. Once under FCY, cars will slow down to 80 kph, line up, and maintain their distance to the car in front and the car behind.

Presumably. And I hope so. With all the cars spread around the track and all of them travelling relatively slowly, there's no (good) reason not to allow it
