Mackmot should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mark Taylor

Just wanted to ask some of you Americans to cheer on our ex driver Mark Taylor who is driving in the IPS series. Hes a great guy and will welcome your support. Its gonna be a bit difficult for his fans over here to cheer him on as we are not even going to be able to watch the races live. I'm sure if you go meet him at some of the events you will see why he's worth supporting.

Thanks in advance

Qualified 2nd, not too bad. His first lap wasnt up to much and that affected the 2nd lap. I hope he converts it to a win tomorrow.

Here are a few shots of Mark's car in the garage area and in tech from this weekend for you guys. These are from our website. I'll try to get one of our guys to snap a clean shot from pit road tomorrow:

Yep. Mark Taylor is running the lone Panther Pro Series car with Fulmar on the sidepods instead of Pennzoil. Pretty neat to see the two cars running the same livery.

Panther had their second chassis, the one Mark wrecked at Phoenix, just about ready for the track again on Friday. These guys are the only Pro Series team to be carrying two ready to run cars for a single driver.

Gary Peterson had two until last week when a driver testing the car wrote it off at Homestead. He will have a second car again soon. No word at this time if the ride is still for sale or if it will just be his backup.

Four cars in the wall today though so parts are going to be in big demand.

Just looking at the time sheet for this event: 4 cars into the wall, and a 2 second gap from first to 12th... That's just huge for ovals, especially in a 'spec' series...

The IRL have organised a charity auction on ebay to bid for an autographed tyre from Mark's car after he won at Miami - all proceeds to charity, to provide car safety equipment for children of low income families. Lets show the Americans what generous people us UK race fans are - go to www.ebay.co.uk and search for item 2715659893.
You also get a piece of history if you bid enough - a Panther firestone autographed by Mark, first oval race, first oval win - and for charity!

"Fulmer" is the name of Taylors fathers printing empire in the UK. Mark also runs his dads helmet design a bloob of yellow ink on black!

Well done Mark!

Did you guys know Mark is a former children's go kart competitor of fellow Brit Dan Wheldon?
