Looks like the end for RPM?
It says RPM will return on Monday 5th of March at 3:00pm but it isn't listed. I thought it was a mistake and thought they meant Sunday 4th but it isn't listed. I have heard it will now be on Saturdays this year but its not listed for the 3rd or the 10th either. I take it that they have decided to axe it.

RPM will return on the weekend after the Australian Grand Prix.

Telecast will focus on F1, MotoGP, ARC and various other motorsport tidbits - with a couple of different presenters.

Without the V8s, the show will now focus on a greater variety of motorsport.

A little off track, but anyone notice the WRC is now on SBS on a Sunday?

While the governing body of V8 Supercars owns all footage of the 2007 season, there's no guarantee Seven would allow Ten access to footage for stories on this years ATCC. It may be a situation not unlike the AFL Footy Show, which for years was a sport show that couldn't actually show the sport. If this is the case, I'll bet it's off air before the end of the F1 season

But #7 and #10 are programming buddies for AFL... perhaps they can swap some obligations around so V8Supercar footage is also shared by #10 taking a dead ratings game in primetime or something?

Ten would still have access to the footage generated by V8SC TV for the daily news feeds.
That would (at worst) be enough for RPM to do event reports.

There is more to motorsport than V8s - which is what RPM will focus on this year.

Indeed a shame for those about to lose their jobs if the show folds, but that's show biz.

I'm wondering if Aussie Bernie will cause carnage with the help of lil tim. Channel 7 will need some new crash footage. Most of theirs is 10 years old.

AVESCO held dual rights to the footage with Channel 10 that has been produced since 1997.

Hence why alot of 2006 footage was used on the first edition of V8 Extra last weekend.

Given that V8s are also shown on Fox Sports, if 7 decided not to play fair, couldn't C10 buy some footage off Foxtel?
A lot of politics there, but all is not lost if the 7/10 relationship sours
