That just about sums up the blanket coverage that ensures bored looks from those of us that prefer quality rather than quantity

What's more unusual? A Brit who doesn't like football, or a Canadian who doesn't like hockey?!
For the record, this is an American who loves baseball! |

Well the English love Cricket and Rugby just as much as soccer, The Welsh are Rugby first and everything else a distance second, much the same for the Irish (Rugby is very different in Ireland as it is one team the only sport that unites both north and south) but they also have their own version of football that is very popular.
Scotland loves Soccer first and rugby is more the preserve of the educated/upper classes. Rugby is also odd in that the French have always been part of the championship and Italy also in recent years. Soccer fills the pages of the newspapers but in fact more people in the UK fish than actually play football. These are my views and others may disagree |

Majority of the football fans don't actually play football themselves, so this point is kinda irrelevant. It's like talking of gaming and then judging the popularity of it by determining how large percentage of all the gamers are programmers. It doesn't add up.

The percentage of the population that actual goes to a game is also very small and viewing figures for TV is not that much either so why are the papers so full of it, could it be that it is cheap to report on and fills the pages.

Well some people might watch football each week but surely us motor racing fans should be allowed to escape from it for 1 week a year

Yeah, let's dump all the cheese from our bags and bring some rock instead. I like the pink and white with writing running through it........

I'd just like to say I'm not interested in the football, but also can't watch LM. On the plus side it's because I've got an 8am appointment at Silverstone to drive their single seater. Can't wait!

I would hazard a guess that you may find LM on TV somewhere in the Silverstone events building ......
