On the other hand the #10 official entry was listed as a 996
http://www.sebringraceway.com/pdfs/0...ng-Entries.pdf

and the revised entry lists it as #10 GT3 RS not RSR so I am not sure!

Is it possible Konrad's 997 has been damaged or something?

?? I think its more on the lines of waiting for funding before shipping it and it never materialized. So they pulled it before anything official started in order to get the majority, if not all, of the entry fee refunded! And they will now probably consolidate what they do have into the one car.

yeah, gt1 will be fun to watch but maybe AMR will bring back some other BDR9s later in the season now. And hoping Intersport can squeeze some more out of the creation and get it to last the distance.

Sebring LMP2 change

Does anyone know why Van der Steur has withdrawn? Their website states there was an "incident" in practice at the WV track. I do know the car shunted, but has anyone heard any news? I was really looking forward to seeing how that SR9 could stand up...I'm not making any crass statements...

you kinda answered that yourself. The impact was apparently big enough to prevent it from being quickly repaired. No time to do that anymore between crash moment and race weekend...which means withdrawal.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tub has been flown to the Radical factory for repairs.

C'mon, a team who races in Sebring and can't make repairs in two weeks?! Are they running on a shoestring budget here? I think there's been some injury that they don't want to be public right now. There site also states other ALMS races down the line are out. Either Radical or AER would have jumped to repair things in a timely fashion considering their driver lineup looked terrific. At least it wasn't Binnie's fault, but I hope no one was injured...

If they damaged a car two weeks ago and are missing out on Sebring and possibly more, they either damaged the chassis which is NOT a 2 week fix, just like Dyson's bad wreck at Petit Le Mans forcing them to miss Laguna Seca for repairs including sending the tub back to England. Or they do indeed lack the budget to make the necessary repairs quickly or have the spare parts available to fix themselves.

This is a team that ran a 6 year old Lola last year until they scrounged up the money for their new Radical.

I think indeed they are near a shoestring budget relative to the rest of the paddock.

Thanks for the insight Graham...I feel better now, although I wish Binnie could score another drive. Nasty way to start a season. G'night and thanks ever so much.

Yes, they are on a shoestring budget, as skycafe points out. I hope they can get the tub fixed, but I'm guessing it needs to go back to England and that will mean both time and money, and possibly time to get the money too. I'm not quite sure where this "terrific" driver lineup comes in either. No disrespect to the individuals involved, but in that LMP2 field it is by far the weakest, and mores the pity that nobody here has a really topflight Radical programme.

I do wonder why Binnie didn't bring his own team over like he usually does.

Dyson's new livery on their RS Spyder:

I like it a lot.

I notice they not only do they have the obvious American flag, but also a British and German flag on the nose.

I´m very happy as José MarÃ*a López was the one posting the second time for the #32 Ferrari. It´s quite unfair that he doesn´t appear in the paper of times or in the press release of ALMS when he was actually the driver who got that 2:07:746 but he´ll have time to show his self if he started like this.
Ferrari looks very strong at least in the beggining.

Anyone know why the #12 Autocon car hasnt set any laps? I know it isnt expected to be one of the top cars of course but last year when it did run it ran with a reasonable turn of speed.
