I'm not versed in Nordschleife specialists, but some entries look mean:

#4 Falken Porsche: Peter Dumbreck, Michael Christensen.
#5 Phoenix Audi: Marc Basseng, Frank Stippler, Laurens Vanthoor.
#19 Schubert BMW: Dirk Werner, Lucas Luhr, Alexander Sims.
#25 Marc VDS BMW: Jöeg Müller, Marco Wittmann.

Question, will there be a live stream for this first round of the VLN series?

Thanks in advance if there are any links!

Good news, bad news kind of deal: there is a stream on theVLN website, but commentary is in German and they only have pictures from the GP loop.

You smell that? That's the smell of cynicism! What a joke that qualifying race. Even just that planning: in between two VLN weekends. Way to filter out all non full pro teams. Secretly I'm glad this attempted attack at VLN is failing, but I won't say it out loud.

47 entries for the N24 qualifying races this weekend. At first glance it looks like pretty much only full pro teams. Seems like it isn't detrimental to the state of VLN, something I did fear for when this was first announced. Of course we will still have to wait and see which if any VLN teams drop out of VLN2 after this weekend, with wrecks and all that. But it seems to be backfiring at the organization (who is that anyway? ADAC Deutschland or a local affiliate?)

The cars which finish within the top 10 tomorrow are qualified for the Top 40 qualifying at the 24HN. Phoenix Racing already qualified one of their cars, because they won the last VLN round.

Airbus you are a mind reader!!

Came here to ask how much damage the car sustained after reading about the crash somewhere else.

Glad to hear Dumbreck is ok

The organizers and Sport1 are doing their best to annoy everyone by geoblocking the stream for the qualifying race, so that nobody outside Germany can actually see it.

Another stupid move to upset the fans, geoblocking the qualy race. I would understand it if the race was broadcasted by TVs in other places but is not the case.

Anyway, I don't see Manthey Porsches in the live timing. Do you know the reason?

You aren't missing out on much... cameras are rather limited and the commentary is rather MRN-esque, i.e. not really in sync with what you could see on the stream.

Doesn't look like many of the teams are giving it their all, either.

Manthey are only supporting privateer cars in this year's 24h-race, no official works project, so it's up to the pay-drivers if they want to do this race or not.
