Hopefully Bruno will land a seat somewhere with better prospects, should this prove to be true...

Bruno has been disappointing regardless.

If this is true, I wonder how much of a reflection on HRT's finances this is. If they go to employing pay drivers (if it was practically possible I'd stick a ban on them in the F1 sporting regulations), it must show a degree of desperation.
It's not easy to tell how good they actually are, mainly because the car is a disgrace. |

it has been in the offing for a short while. Hard to tell how good Bruno is, given the car.

Yes, HRT Need the money, but still, it annoys me that in this day and age, a young talented driver is so easily replaced by a pathetic pay driver, who has proved on multiple occasions he isn't up to F1 standards. Bruno, like Karun, was doing his best in a bad car. The only other reason I can think for his departure for the weekend is a rift with Kolles, but surely HRT would go with someone whom actually deserves a drive in F1, their other test driver, Christian Klien.

An inspired change.
It was clear that the problem lay with the driver. Now watch that HRT rocket up the grid. |

I don't remember Yamamoto being that bad, although he was only up against Sato. Now I think about it, I only remember him having one good race, in Brazil 2006.
I know the decision is due to money, but Senna has been slightly disappointing. I've often followed them on the live timing and sometimes Senna has been a second a lap slower than Chandhok, although differences between team-mates will be exacerbated by a crap car. Nonetheless, Chandhok has coped better. |

It annoys me in this day and age that the concept of pay drivers in F1 should be considered.

I don't understand the hand-wringing over pay drivers. Motorsport isn't like other sports. Every driver is a pay-driver at some stage of his or her career.

It's just disappointing to see a driver with more talent replaced by one with more money.

This is a shame for Bruno and for the team because with his surname Bruno can bring in sponsorship once the car become more competitive.

The HRT car is a complete dog so Senna cannot be rated against this, he deserves another chance in something better.

At least he won't have to worry about frontrunners chopping in front of him any more.

Could it be a sponsor's request deal for Silverstone and Bruno could be back in next race? Does seem kind of far-fetched that he'd want to get back in the HRT after this but if no drives, even as a tester are out there, would it be better to at least show his abilities in half the remaining races?

Does Yamamoto's funding come from sponsorship or family wealth?
