Poor KMC

KMC-you are a sick man. You may have touringcaritis. I thought I was the only one in N.America with this condition. It is treatable. You must buy a big dish and put it in your backyard for those times that you have these attacks.

Those in Europe have it much better as they can ease their suffering by actually attending touringcar races. We should be so lucky.

It has some very nice cars other cars for sale, 2 ex-DTM Mercedes, some RS500's, BMW M3's. That is one very nice collection. The collection sounds like Brian Chatfields, as half the cars sound like ones he has raced before, in the Modified saloons, Thundersaloons, and Formula Saloons over the last 10 years or so.

Yes, I was initially stricken with it back in mid '95 and it got worse over the years. Despite an absolute shoestring budget, I have tried to turn my car into a touring car machine--pre-93.5 Class 2 rule based. I also put together a fantasy denim shirt, jacket with all the sponsor logos on it to match my car. I even hallucinate to the point that when I watch Nascar and the Speed WC, I sometimes think I am watching touring cars. I actually caught it from my brother who just had a mild case of it! Hey, at least I'm happily sick. Hey, you only live once! I'm the touring car version of those (star) trekkies fans who dress up!!

You mean with a big enough dish, I can receive even the Euro channels??? And watch touring cars??

In North America, we have the World Challenge. It's becoming quite a ETCC-ish series now with so many 4 door sedans racing in it!! And the interesting thing about it is that the sedans are either built by a top privateer team or are semi-works cars!!

dear Kmchow,

I would like to help you to cure your addicition. Check out this site: http://www.civt.it
Is the official site for the Italian Touring Car Champs. There are:
1 - Super production Champ, the rules are more or less the same of BTCC Prod
2 - 6 minor champ, N1 to N6, for cars which can not be eligible for Super Prod. We have Bmw M3, VW Polo, Opel Corsa and so on. N1 is for larger engine size (now there are M3s only), N6 the smaller Polo, Corsa, Pug 106

I hope you'll enjoy the visit, there is English language section too
