Andy Metcalf should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Car Change Rules

If VLR enter BTCC Touring with the 406's if the 307's are not ready for the start of the season, does anyone know how that effects points and even their entry in BTCC?

They won't be eligable for points?

Drivers may be eligable?

Maybe with permission from the other teams they will be eligable for points?

Don't know for certain what the rules state now but it used to be possible for a driver to score points in more than one make/model of car. You may remember David Leslie drove as a temp replacement for Thompson at Honda and later drove the PRO Motorsport Nissan.

As I recall there was a restriction on switching between front and rear wheel drive in that only one change was allowed, but that's not an issue here.

Best example woul probably be Matt Neals switch to a Nissan from the Ford in 1997. As far as I know his Nissan scored points were just added to the Mondeo scored points. Also he got a new style BMW for the final rounds in 92 (BMW M3 to 318is) and 93 (318is to 318i).

Also Lemmer and Kaye drove both Accords and Integra's in 2000.

Don't know if it would affect the team championship though?

I wouldn't think it should affect points scoring eligibility, it isn't really affecting anyone if they change cars or not.
