Hemelgarn - Laid off staff last season, not heard owt else!

Playa Del Racing - Heard that they were planning to run full time in 07 with J Lazier as a driver, but all gone quiet

Roth - He stated he would run full time in 07, but no news ive heard for a while

Fernandez - Limbo!!

I don't think it's in better shape, they're strugling with money.

Last I've heard they have signed Bucknum, but still cinsidering Foyt IV in #41 A.J. Foyt Racing, or will release Jeff from his contract with them.

He may still come into fruition, but IMO only on speedway courses, and IMO he will race most of oval events, even just to fill the gap.

Never say never, I've got other info

I don't know why you are saying that playa del is "Gone"

Fernandez's cars and equipment may end up in someone else's hands and make the grid, that's a reasonably big team to just disappear.

Because they have not been seen nor heard from since indy I believe and they are not listed for next year. Of course they could turn up for indy this year.

they didn't say or do anything between last year's indy and this year's indy, yet they showed up with 2 cars.

There is no official "list" for next year yet.

I actually ran into someone that works on the Roth car here at college right after the season ended. I only got to speak to him briefly, but if I remember correctly he said that they were planning on running Roth at the ovals and another driver possibly on the road courses.

Maybe they should consider running "another driver" instead of Roth at all of the events....

Despite the rumors, there's no real indication Dreyer & Reinbold is going away from the IRL.

There was a rumor in today's Indianapolis Star about Larry Cahill trying to put together a package for Milka Duno to run.

Hemelgarn will be around if he finds money.....that's the way it's always been with him.

Not doubt rumours fuelled by Buhl's comments

I'm wondering who the five or six are that Barnhart is referring to in Curt's Q&A in the Indy Star this morning...

Milka's $$$ is obviously the fuel that would allow Larry Cahil to field an entry....

Too bad that she isn't as talented as others who could be racing in this series....

Not a slap at her, but of the 3 potential women drivers that could be in the IRL next season, IMO, Milka's in third place when it comes to driving talent..

Agreed on Milka, Tim. But D&R is still a factor and apparently is working with Sarah Fisher and her people to put together a package. Fernandez' cars -- or team -- is/are going to wind up somewhere. There MAY be interest from IPS teams. Just sounds like they're playing it honest for now until things happen rather than play the Mark C. game of "we hear that Formula XK29 eighth-place 2006 finisher Oswald Stumpledinck from Nairobi has backing from a diamond mine in South Africa that will sponsor him with Coyne next year."

Oswald Stumpledinck was the Latvian Formula Trabant Champion 3 years running! I think he would be Great in Open Wheel if just given the chance! With all the funding he has from Diamonds R' Us, he will have terrific funding sources and possibly be part of a 5 car Super Team.

Oswald Stumpledinck is a Legend! I hear Ferd Berferd is in line for the rumored second seat...
