28th for me - the accident aside, I would say that this was my most enjoyable Le Mans - as the experience is far more than just 24 hours of the race for me. Perhaps that's why it went by so fast!

I was taken to qualifying in 1998...does that count towards my tally?

If it does, then next year is Le Mans number 15 for me.

Agree with Ayse, if not for the circumstances in which the race had to carry on, I would be raving about this one for years, having missed out on 2011 race due to exams.

I hope for a much cleaner race, and much warmer conditions. I was so cold in the morning this year that my dad forced a double calvados down me...

2014

I'll buy my ticket the first day the ACO will open the sell !
i've just answered to the ACO what i thought of the LM24 of this year

i've finished to tell them that they were to red man flags and saddly the weather was very bad (the sun shinning since de race finsihed here !!!)

and i told them that without our friends from UK and other countries the race won't be the same !
also having so bad meals sold around the area of the buggati is a shame for me !

We'll be back as usual, we still haven't recovered from this year yet though !

Djcomix , do you have a website address for giving the ACO feedback on the event ? There are one or two things that we would like to pass onto them that could help to improve things for the fans .

I received this in my mailbox today. It takes a bit of your time, but at the end you have room to express your feelings and give specific pointers.

Well, link doesn't seem to work (anymore). Sorry!

I got this email too few days too! Answered all the questions and wrote some feedback... hopefully some things will improve! The event itself is great though! Especially the Ten-Tenths garage visit and meeting!

Yep, I will be there next year. Last year was my first time and loved it as I knew I would. Watched most of it on tele this year. Hope to take in the TT as well if they dont clash.
More immediate issues first, everything organised already for Bathurst in october.

Sounds like a nice tour there. However, if you could wangle it/wanted to.....

You've got the nurburgring 24, LM24 And the classic all within a month giving a bit of time for sightseeing...

Not been, but from what I understand:
  • Grow a beard
  • Don't wash
  • Take a PA system and incessently play euro-pop/tech music constantly
  • Eat currywusrt only
  • Let off fireworks constantly
  • Don't mention the war(s)

Anybody knows when the track is opened again to normal trafic after the thursday Night qualification?
Might be better to stay in mulsanne and wait instead of going the long way round the circute.

We ended up in the village of Mulsanne at about 12:30 am on Thursday night and I think the track was still closed, we had to divert through Ruaudin. Probably takes a while longer to set up all the public road stuff under cover of darkness.

Yeah I don't think it's going to come as much of a shock. She'd already expressed her satisfaction with a biennial pilgrimage so I don't think it'll take much to whittle that down to an annual one.
