kmchow should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Like I said, it's free PR!

In the recent issue of Lexus Owners magazine, there was an article on ABG Motorsports' Lexus IS200. The way it was written and appeared, it made it look like Lexus was supporting the car. Of course, it does not mention that the team is now out of the racing business due to lack of a budget.

On an interesting note, Steve, the team owner(??) mentions that the team decided to go with Luby b/c it wanted quality, not just money. They claimed to have turned down drivers who were willing to pay as much as 300K pounds for the drive. Just pure fantasy???

300k, you're right, pure fantasy. For that, you can get a 2002 drive in an Astra Coupé, with enough left over for a small house and a Mercedes.

Sounds like an article written a fair while ago that has only just made its way over the Atlantic which would probably explain why no mention of the team not being around anymore.

Ooops, I didn't look at the date of the issue. It was dated summer 2001!! The article was written during the 2001 Oulton Park rounds. The pictures are fairly nice.

Steve talked about my favourite dilemma, the sponsorship egg and chicken debate. You need sponsorship in order to offer better results, but results don't come free, you need sponsorship!! Classic motorsport egg and chicken debate.

Sighhh...
