Off topic:

In the Grand Heritage race at Spa today there were hardly any cars from that championship, it was more a case of "Grand/Book a track Lotus/Caterham Graduate/BMW Challenge/Heritage" thing.

No Gordon Streeter either, it seems that gearbox problems yesterday in practice caused his non start for the weekend.

We got today a (provisional) date as well for next years 6 Hours: 26 to 28 September

Great pictures Drinkle and others. Shame to see David Howards XJ12 smoking like that and to hear it only completed 7 laps as I make that the third race on the trot he has lost an engine in that car.

Well here is the true story behind the delay during the parede at Spa last week:
As I mentioned before, the marshals had nothing to do with it. The gate is remote controlled from either Race Control or the Medical Center and was wide open. All the marshals had to do and did was to show the cars the way out.
The parade duly took the right way out as far as the junction near the petrol station near Stavelot, where some police decided to allow 20 cars through, then 20 from the other side, 20 again from the parade and so on. Causing delays that way? Nooooo!

This again show how well planned everything was from the organising club.
So why not blame those stupid sod marshals instead of admitting they goofed up?

Eddy, yup there may have been one or two minor cockup's but it is the first time I have been to Spa,it wont be the last time.I cant remember a more enjoyable race in years. It is the first year there has been two pits, two entry points into the pits and god knows how many exits out onto the track, especialy for us minions in the outer paddock. The track is awesome and I would like to appologise to any one who I baulked or got in the way of,will rectify that with a couple of track days.So you like tea as well as doughnuts.
