If you were given 5,000 to play with..?

If you were given five grand to pick a new chassis for racing what would you choose?

Although i have a Trulli which im pleased with i still think the CRG's look fantastic, with their black components and freeline bodywork. Have very good results too. If i could go out and buy myself a brand new kart that would be the one for me

I would prefer a Tony Kart or a Birel, but for South African conditions, a PCR is a worth while buy.

my choice isnt on there.

i'd have to pick the australian built Arrow kart , simply because of the availability of spares and I can easilly get set up data to help me out if im struggling.

Im interested in hearing more about this Zanardi kart though ?

If i was to stay in my class i would proberly go for a ''tony//kart'' or possibly even a ms kart as they are doing well.

But say i was in FA i would go for Birel with out any hesitation

I am a Arrow convert. You gave me all the money in the world, I would still go for Arrow. They are well easy to set up in Dry and Wet, and so easy to drive. Love them, especially in 125 ICC

No, I'm a Brit, as James aka Speedy King would know. Raced him at Beccles in Jnr Max. The AX8 is an awesome chassis, the AX6 was good until beginning of Last year as well.

Anyone have any experience with the Alpha kart? Built in France you see very very few if any over here however they have quite an impressive record over there. I drove one a few weeks ago, it wasnt a racing chassis but was sooo much better than any of the corporate rubbish you get over here. Shame their web site is utterly useless however

Looking at their adverts in the French karting magazines Alpha seems a very similar setup to Dartford Karting to me. Didn't take much notice of the karts though..

i wouldn't get new.
see if any of the factory guys will sell theirs after a big race (provided it's straight), and then use the rest of the money for seat time and tuning.

Often some of these works teams will actually rip you off buying their ex-drivers items and its some times possible to get better deals from independent outfits

The evidence would surely point to a TonyKart for us and with 5k to spend we would have enough left over for a cheeseburger.
